Nintendo Quest (title set to change)

author=Dudesoft
I don't mean have like every character as a party member, but who will the NPCs be? just anime no-ones? Why not litter the worlds with character cameos and integrate them into the story, sorta deal?
Ever watch the cartoon Captain N? I recommend checking it out.
This just sounds sort of like a Kingdom Hearts-style wasted opportunity. The more NES characters visible or as monsters/bosses, the more fan appreciation I bet you'll grab.

Maybe the real threat comes from the current gen characters who just want to destroy the old versions of themselves so people will like them better and not constantly compare things to the 'good old days'.

This would have been a better plot premise for Sonic Generations.

OK Sorry I misunderstood. Any ways yes that sounds like a good Idea. But sadly so far it's gonna have the simple go to area meet hero defeat hero villian formula.
Remember I'm still working on it. I like these ideas though.

Good idea, I might have to steal it. You're not cashing in on the NES cross over possibilities. Why not use every NES game character? From Duck Hunt to Bayou Billy?

2WAY TO MANY PARTY MEMBERS
3 The dog can be a random encounter ok.

Thank's random game maker I'm not to UP on scripts so your help would be good.

The demo is going to be out tonight. Sadly I forgot about the release thing due to personal issues.
But it has a few bosses and stuff also talk to both merchants. One will give you $$$!

If I were going to attempt something like this, I'd just shatter the fourth wall right out of the gate. Maybe the anonymous retro gamer shut in was simultaneously working on an RPG maker project, so when the electronic convergence occurred it sucked him, and the NES characters into his project?

That way you could justify using mis-matched XP tilesets and whatever else you want by making it part of the theme. You could have the NES classic heroes react to the strangeness of their new surroundings. They could also lampoon some of the conventions that the RM scene has adopted over the years. It would also be hilarious if some of the late game villains were actually the 16/32/64/whatever we're up to now bit incarnations of the classics. Maybe the real threat comes from the current gen characters who just want to destroy the old versions of themselves so people will like them better and not constantly compare things to the 'good old days'.

TAKE ALL OF MY MONEY THIS IS AN AMAZING IDEA!
I feel kinda bad f I were to use this plot though. So I might actually change it a bit around. Let's say I pull a golden sun with this puppy. I will upload an explorable demo of the areas thus far though on the 1st. I'd love to do this but I'd need some more help. The guy I have help from doesn't have to much time but is experienced in rpgmaker.

All I need is to find soem maybe modern sprites and stuff. Like mario superstar saga bowser for modern bowser and stuff. TP ganondorf. Um? Well for metroid maybe dark samus? and for Shredder we have urtron shredder.

Actually this is very similar to the Turtles forever plot. It would make sense to have that as an underlying inspiration and reference.

The main problem is I am far too inexperienced in rpgmaker to do this alone. I can map and make simple stuff but to pull this off would take a team of possibly three people. I feel bad I don't want to burden others for my inexperience.

What are you thinking about right now?

How do you get the font to work for the Longing Ribbon. No really why does this game need a font which I do not know how to install/use. That is what is on my mind.

The Longing Ribbon

Umm how exactly do you fix the font I have the file and I put in the game file yet It seems i am doing it wrong.

How to make image backgrounds transparent?

author=Ginseng_Tea
Firstly, Shredder is semi-transparent because you chose to make his sprite transparent in the MONSTER DATABASE TAB.

Secondly, that option to change the battle background is for testplay purposes. Battles backgrounds aren't exclusive to 'troops'. To select the background for a battle, you must define the background of your choice in the MAP PROPERTIES window, TERRAIN DATABASE TAB (for terrain-dependent backgrounds), or you are given the options every time you use the ENEMY ENCOUNTER event command.

Nope if shredder was partly transparent it would be turned on this is what he looks like normal. I used gimp to make the White background transparent.

Ip Man - it's based on the story of one of Bruce Lee's teachers, I cried watching this movie. But not tears of sadness. Tears of "Omg that's so awesome"

Check it on Hulu

There is a part 2 which is pretty good, but if you have to choose one, I suggest part one.

Bruce spent very little time with Wong fe Hung/Ip Man. There are allot of older movies with him from like the 70's and 80's based off of his legacy. He even has his own theme song.

Town-Dungeon-Town(The ever exhausting formula)

Please put the part not shown in spoilers I almost read it all, thanks.
It's sort of weird to have an avatar of a character of a game you haven't really played, but okay we're all grown men here I guess

I got to the ice age and then my save file got deleted.

Town-Dungeon-Town(The ever exhausting formula)

Chrono Trigger also tried to break the formula by not restricting NPC interaction to the towns. Several of Chrono Trigger's dungeons had NPC interactions, whether it was with human NPCs or intelligent monsters. For example: the Cathedral, Guardia's Prison, Magus' Castle, the Future Sewers, etc.

Please put the part not shown in spoilers I almost read it all, thanks.

Also Here's a interesting Idea MAKE THEM CAMP OUT! IT would make the game feel a bit more like a journey though some people might complain. If you want to break the formula a bit try this. This specifically reminds me of FF4 though.

OH GOODNESS I HAVE A GREAT EXAMPLE OF BREAKING THIS FORMULA WHO HERE HAS PLAYED GOLDEN SUN DARK DAWN!
The game gave you free roam of the world halfway through the game. Meaning you didn't know where to go and it broke the formula HARD! It pretty much said go explore and stuff. It still had a similar aspect but was far more free roaming/flying.
