Night fourm life

OH MY!Despite I'm not for sure if we are allowed to do that here. lol

What I'm doin:
I am I am so far got most of the TMNT maps done I need to edit more sprites I'll have to use the manhatten project ones possibly.
I'm having a problem with some sprites I'm hoping the tutles won't be to large for XP's box's if so how do I make them work as characters If their boxes need to be larger? I plan on finishing this project possiblyby the end of this month or Maybe if I work allot. It will take allot of time. yet the mapping seems to be pretty handled.
plus I found some mario and zelda tilesets that work YA! So If you guys can't figure it out I'm, making something that I hope turns out pretty decent even if it's a short project.

RMN Radio Drama! Casting Call!

YES THIS IS AWESOME JUMPS FOR JOY!
I'm mainly good at comedic voices. Yet I can do one or two decent ones.
Tell me what voice to do and you got it.

Yeah I'll look for links converter. Also I'll retry spriters resource but last time I visited the site it took ages to load a page which was weird. I recently found some tilesets for other things Like my ninja turtles are and possible a small graveyard castlevania area.
And a ton of Futuristic tiles for the metroid themed area. Though I'd still like to find classic nes and snes tilesets or things like that to use.

Or you know... You could do it by hand, copy and paste. It is not that hard. Go to places like this : http://www.spriters-resource.com/
and export the default rtp tileset and just copy and paste for a while in a paint program (I advise paint.net). It is that simple.

How exactly do I find/ get the rtp tileset thing. I've never done this before so I apologize nor my nooby words of noobdom.
Alright, go to rmxp and open it. Look for the materials button, right next to the database. Go to a simple tileset, and export it. I am not sure of the specs of rmxp, but I think each tile is either 16x16 like rm2k/3 or 32x32... Well, just open it up in paint and make sure your rips fit the tile size and it should work.

So I presume you can do the same for character sprites and such as well

Need help? Video tutorials!

Fun fact: RMN almost was sponsored by Enterbrain and they did arrange a server for us (and when the deal fell through, we graciously mooched off that server for over a year)

Awesome Kentona. I wish there was more activity though. I feel alone with only like 5 people here.

On topic though I'd really like to see more tutorial videos as I find them easier and sometimes more hands on then most guides. As you can follow the person showing you.

I wish fan sites like this were sponsored by Enterbrain and such. Sadly they aren't. It'd be nice since they could contribute a little to server fees so their engine can be used and supported by fans.
Also Undertow can you make a video about tilesets and importing characters of different sizes like mario or link.
I would really appreciate it.

Request: Nintendo Tilesets.

Hey everyone.
I'm looking for tilesets to use in rpgmaker XP. I Need tilesets based off of nintendo games such as Zelda, Mario , and Metroid. Or just NES and SNES games in general.

I would really appreciate your help as I really have no idea where to find tile sets that are already compatible with XP/VX. So I don't have to muck about in Pait for 9000 or more hours as they say.

I really do appreciate the help. As nintendo games are quite popular I'm sure many other users would want some of these. I would look for them myself if I knew. Yet you guys are the gurus here. Thank you so much.

jesus fucking christ pyrodoom why do you have that as your avatar

i know this is off topic but still

what the fuck

Ok even though this kid is 13 don't dis the things he is into. We all have differences though I was older when I got into other things.Though i am not a fan of such things as his avatar presents. Yes that is a inappropriate avatar though.

Though yeah let's have this as an off topic thread where people can talk about stuff at night or whenever. I need to find a video/ info on importing character sprites. and such. Say I want to use nes link how would I go about this.

Oh @ Despain The oldest rpg maker game I have is Heroine lysanya. It's a pretty funny/ decent rpg.

Though Yes I would prefer to use xp.

Hello I'm new to the fourm's

Ok thanks for the advice, I wish to do like a nintendo adventure Kind of like captain N. My main concern s learning how to import tile sets and how to get character's such as mario, and other nintendo related characters into the characters list and make it work. I'd love to see a tutorial video.

I'm not to bad at mapping from what I did I always made things as meticulous and sometimes simple as possible it wasn't until Xp that I discovered different types of grass.

I have the sprites and stuff. I just need to understand XP My pc is too old to run VX(It's from the early 00's) So I'm watching some of Willowsidhe's videos. Also The whole thing about my friends won't be made I was just telling you about a project I was doing.

My last project I maybe got to the second town and dungeon in less than a week as it was very simple till I tried to include Robo and screwed up as I have to use XP now I'll need to relearn things. VX was running on my father laptop.

I'm not for sure if this is too ambitious I'd most likely replace and rename monsters already in game with sprites and similar things. Such as space pirates being a monster that can shoot something or metroids using drain ,etc.
There are a small handful of games made by one person alone such as Captain skull so I hope this work's out.

Such games as infinity use different sprites from other games so I presume XP can use such things
