In this topic I briefly comment on every video game I've ever played.
Yuri from Tales of Vesperia is probably the best RPG hero ever. And for that matter, pretty much any character in any Tales game ever is interesting enough to me. They tend to have much deeper personalities than Generic RPG Hero #1287 and Plucky Female Sidekick Slash Healer, and they change significantly from the start of the game to the end.
IMO, characters should be fleshed out until they're real enough so that the writer can let them decide what happens (though I'm not much of a writer so take what I say with a grain of salt here).

Of course, I could go on and on about the characters, the music, the gameplay, everything. Really one of my favorite games.
Honestly, I like Chrono Trigger, but my biggest annoyance is the fact that every character in the entire game except Frog and Magus is boring and one-dimensional.
Resolution problem.
So essentially, if my graphics card doesn't have that option, I'm fucked, right?
I'm using an S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR. Feel free to laugh; it's been in this old junker since before my dad handed it down to me and I've never really gone out and bought a new one.
Unless I'm doing it wrong; I went to Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Display adapters > S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR.

The framerate drops to about a quarter of what it should be when I try windowed mode, so that isn't exactly an option for me.
Resolution problem.
I'm trying to run a few RM games on my new monitor, but it stretches them out to fit the screen and creates enormous dark distorted blotches across the screen. I can't find an option to stretch or compress the screen or anything- I'm using an Acer x223w- and while it doesn't make games unplayable, it's annoying and it certainly takes away from the experience. I can't seem to find a way to fix it.

author=Relyt link=topic=2853.msg54857#msg54857 date=1231553519No, I'm just saying that 99% of people will be too lazy to download it and open it in itunes/whatever. Especially if their computers hate itunes as much as mine does.
Why? Did the downloads not work?

What programs do you cats use for Youtube videos and such?
I don't. Every single recording program on the face of the earth lags like balls on my computer.
I really need a new one.

In your opinion, which series fans are the worst?
author=YummyDrumsticks link=topic=2840.msg54741#msg54741 date=1231527823Isn't that comic supposed to be like twice as long?
Ahoy
Don't use 2k3 because it has a bad default battle system and it's illegal software. Unless your game has no battles or uses an evented battle system (also not recommended), then go for it; it has tons of resources out there.
For a first-timer, you should definitely try VX first. It's really user-friendly while still able to do really complicated shit such as coding.
Both XP and VX give you access to the game's code, allowing you to screw with it as you please, and there are tons of addon scripts you can plug into it safely and easily, as well as complicated ones that require some tampering but are ultimately worth it. Because of the scripting, it's much more flexible.
