Music in an RPG Maker game
I didn't want to use commercial music for my game out of pride, but after reading this topic and finding out that I'm quasi-decent at best at composing, I think I might just use some songs from Tales of Vesperia. It's not very obscure, but it's awesome and it'd fit well in my RPG.
If you could remake any videogame which one would it be?
Problem with "set move route."
Yeah, I had the player and another character moving at the same time, and their paths crossed, though they never actually touched. I put Through ON and Through OFF at the start of both their move routes and it worked fine. Thanks.
Problem with "set move route."
I'm using RMXP. Whenever I use the "set move route" event command to make the player follow a route, he'll move one square then stop dead in his tracks. The cutscene will still go on, but it looks really odd since the player character won't be in the right place. It still works correctly in events I previously used it in, oddly enough.
New guy.
I'm Josh MacKay AKA TooManyToasters. I found this place through a google search for RPG Maker forums since I was having a bit of trouble with XP, and decided to join. My Xbox Live tag is TooManyToasters (no I don't play Halo, but I do play a bit of TF2 and Shadowrun), and I might get a PS3 in the coming months, mostly for LittleBigPlanet.
In a nutshell, I'm a high school freshman and aspiring game developer with absolutely no experience or idea what I'm doing. I did, however, release a very short Super Mario World ROM hack with a crappy plot and decent level design. It's the first part in a series I don't care to finish.
