Actually people hate Comic Sans not only because it's overused, but also how it is overused for things that don't match with it. Comic Sans is not a neutral font, I mean, is not like Arial or Times New Roman that are plain, simple and good for reading. Comic Sans is... COMIC (and in a very lighthearted and silly way).

Yet people make horror games, write love letters, and all kinds of either serious or just noncomical situations with Comic Sans. How am I going to take that seriously? xD.

Your cover can only be good if it is made in Ms Paint where you take an image from google and add text over it in a stupid font like comic sans. 0/10
Comic Sans is still frequently used, though. I wonder why people hate that font?
