Character customization for VX

It could easily be done without using too many events/switches/variables... But it would take a lot of time and hard work...

cutscenes

I hate making cutscenes too...

My Problems With Making RPG Games

Hmm... Complicated Animal System... How to put it... how to put it...
Well then, I'll get to the main idea. To test It out I am going to make one animal... And get him to work the way I want. There will be a few (10 - 15) variables that will determine how he reacts to different things and how he bahaves around the player... These variables may include things such as; Hunger (this can affect many things including how eager it is to attack) , Agressiveness (pretty self explanatory) , Anger (This is created by the player), Speed (how quickly it reacts), Strength (How powerful the animal is), and Diet (1 being Herbivore, 2 being Omnivore, 3 being Carnivore)... Simple things like this, all put together to create a unique creature that reacts depending on many different Things... For instance, if the player runs up to a hungry, aggressive, carnivorous animal, he should expect to be attacked (since anger isn't the only thing that determines if it attacks or not) ... If he runs up to an angry herbivore, it may stil attack... But not with the intention of food... However, if he runs up to a normal herbivorous creature... Why should it attack him? Changing these variables could create highly unique creatures... And make a very intersting asset to a game... Anyways, If I ever finish this, (which hopefully I will) I hope it turns out like I imagine it... If this doesn't sum up the idea... Then I'm not quite sure what you are asking...

My Problems With Making RPG Games

Thanks guys... I really appreciate everything... By the way Kentona... I'M YOUR BIGGEST FAN! Hero's Realm has got to be one of my most favorite games... I just love it...

My Problems With Making RPG Games

Hmm... Never really thought of that... Except when I was first trying the RPG Maker XP trial... But at that time I stank at using it hehe...

What are you working on now?

I am currently working an an all event animal system in RMXP where animals respond differently depending on the type/area/way the player treats them and stuff like that... I always find it fun to try to create things nobody else has... (or at least that I know of...)

My Problems With Making RPG Games

Hmm... I like the writing it down idea... It would obviously help me know what I was going to make and give me time to think about if I actually like it before wasting time making it...

My Problems With Making RPG Games

I have had RMXP for about two and a half years or so... And in that time, I have become very accustomed to it and can use it very well... I have made ABS Systems out of events alone, I am very good at mapping, I am currently working an an extremely complicated animal system, but I have never finished an actual game... I have started many, but I lose interest quickly and dump it in a week or so... (My longest was about 3 weeks)
Anyways... I was just wondering if there was anyone who knew of a way to help me keep interest in my games or anything they think will help me along.
It would be greatly appreciated.

That waterfalls not really working for me. It doesn't make any sense.

Ah... lol. So many critics...
Although critics can be useful while making a game o.o

Runic Cipher

Hmm... Looks very interesting... I have used RM2k3 a little bit. I have never started a real game. I have been using RMXP for a very long time.
I have pretty much mastered the commands of RMXP and I have even made a pathfinding system and a Custom Battle System purely out of events, switches, and variables... So in other words, I am quite good at working with events. However, switching from RMXP to RM2k3 to kelp you may be a problem, although the commands are somewhat similiar, It may present a problem or two. So I don't know...
