I'm getting varying Garbage Data Detection problems on some games. Paradise Blue and that one Pirates game gives me negative values. Positive 207 means there is 207 bytes of the Game Settings data I have yet to read as I prematurely encountered a stop code. Negative numbers means I read too much.

I'll go download Demons Gate and see what songs sound like nails on a chalkboard.

I've got to debug this Garbage Data problem because it trashes the rest of the RPG database (in my program, not your game) so that it reads everything after it improperly.

Got nothing to do with the RTP here, and it only reads Game Title from the .ini, you can solve any RTP problems by just having the files there with your game instead of wherever Emptybrain puts them.

I see what you mean, song 10 "Ending" sounds like someone's farting into their trumpet to play part of the song.

If you have any completed 2k3 games, let me know and I'll add them to the test cases. I ask because they become screenshot material as I test against them.

Of course it would, but it's up to you to turn this feature on or off. In order to play legacy games, all the game-breaking features are off by default. These are intended for new projects.

Battle movement completed, going forward

I actually hope to get it so that you'll enter random battles and immediately the victory condition will happen so you'll get 0EXP and 0SP, then be returned to the original map without any loss of event states. This should be implemented before I continue making the battles themselves, lots of really nasty glitches can happen if you don't properly maintain the state of the previous map (which is hard in Acknex because loading a new map wipes out anything on the previous one).

The game is going to have a typical story, but you can wander into other areas you wouldn't normally have to in order to complete quests and things.

Why post a review if you can just say your reflections here? The final product is obviously going to be drastically different if something is wrong and then the reviews won't match up. This is why I just post links to demos for my game on the page and never up something in the top right corner until it's an actual chapter.
