Inglorious Defeat (by a Flu!)
Well. Let me rephrase this a bit. I'm making this engine for myself, it just so happens that I like open source and will make it available for people to use.
Personally I'm kind of sick of German game engines. Acknex, this means you.

She (I'm) a Wolf actually. She looks like a Fox though. Thanks. The Sayuris multiply until you actually run out of memory. It uses an amortized memory allocator so if it runs out of room to add more people it goes and gets some more in such a way that is least disruptive to the frame rate.
wait-.
SegNin.. SegNin.. Are you the SegNin from that one website where you helped me fix a problem getting Dragon Quest 7 to run? Haaa.

That's great. It might actually be possible to make a build of this engine for XBOX, PSP, PS3 (the ones that still have that functionality), DS, Macs, Solaris, etc. Can't say what would happen to the performance though. But I've heard those devices have OpenGL and SDL support.
The hard part is picking a media player and formats that satisfy the need for compression, but still work on platforms. The good news is that my editing suite can just recode the audio using mplayer or something if it has to be some weird audio format.

Oh crap, I wish there was an edit button for these comments. Anyway I need to know which OS and version/service pack you used.

Nope. If you're curious, you can see what is in wslog.txt just for fun, but if it runs fine that's all I need. If something crashes, I had it set to output program exceptions to the wslog.txt so that when someone has a problem with the engine, they can send that file to me and I can try and pinpoint the systems and what happened.

OH YEAH! And if it doesn't work quite right, upload a copy of wslog.txt on your locker or something, please don't paste it here because it might be a huge log.
What WeaponSoul Can Do
Genesis Does
"...but I keep wishing the Genesis had way more RPGs like the SNES did."
It's actually sort of a nostalgic joke in a way. I've seen lots of 8-bit throwbacks for people making their game look like the NES graphics, but the reason there weren't many RPGs on the Genesis is the reason I'm making a 16-bit Genesis throwback.
