Star Stealing Prince

Really wonderful game. I wasn't sure right away, but seeing the custom portraits everyone had hooked me long enough to talk to everyone, and then I knew I had to keep going... and now I'm near the very end!

Love the art, writing is mostly very good; and story and characters are wonderful.
(Not to mention the music!)
I'll say more after I finish the game though xD

I'm posting because I also ran into rgss2 crashes which are quite troublesome...
Don't they usually give you a hint as to what's wrong!?

The first time I crashed was ... after going to the Eastern Tower and re-entering Sabine Forest. It kept happening when I got attacked usually after one or two encounters in the caves. This issue soon disappeared by the next chapter...

I think I got a crash once at a battle up you know where. In the castle probably... Only one time though...

EDIT : Btw those crashes happened just before the battle starts everytime. It would fade out and then the crash appears.

Then finally I encountered a game-halting consistant crash in the Western Tower during the cutscene up-top... soon as he says "Hmm... What's this?"
><

I discovered that this particular crash is related to the battle system as well... In particular, the abort battle call, used after that big battle.
It seems to make the game very unstable when that is called... I even tried inserting a save menu immediately after the battle and it crashed immediately...

Finding the source of these crashes are really ... gah!
I DID however discover, that I was able to usually* prevent this crash by hitting F12 at the title screen. This causes the game to restart once, and I suppose it makes it more stable somehow... This allowed me to get past that "What's this?" part (it crashed before getting the item message).

I've been using that trick from that point on, and have not encountered any more crashes so far *fingers crossed*

My guess, is that the crashes all are somehow related to the battle system...
The crash I was able to reproduce when opening the save menu immediately after that battle makes me think it might be similar to other people's crashes...

What made it crash in the cutscene? Well after the abort battle's instablity, I am guessing it's when you added an item to inventory.... probably. I still have the original save file, if you want to see if it reproduces for you...

(After beating the long battle, after the awesome cutscene, the moment before you receive the item)

The only other possibilty for my crashes I might think of, is running in Japanese Locale, and I installed the Japanese RTP originally.

Anyway, I just want to finish the game since I'm so close! :D
It's been a fun journey... well for the player anyway... ;D

Forever's End

I hadn't read any of the hype for this game, and went in with no expectations...

Well, I just finished Episode 1, and I've got to hand it to you, it's an "epoch" journey that feels like the Final Fantasy that never was...

I think you've done a splendid job so far, and I certainly hope you have access to all the resources (and time) you need to craft the story you are imagining.

It's a game I will definitely recommend in the future!

Malvir, Mercellus, Elise, Crystals on the loose; these are dangerous times friend!

...

I ran into only one game breaking bug in my quest, when I ran from... the rare monster behind the waterfall. When in control of Cyrus, Lee and G. I was near the top of the screen? And the monster pressed against the wall after running and the game got stuck waiting for his move.

...

I did encounter the battle music stop bug a lot, not exactly sure how I trigger it; but it's not too troublesome unless it's for a rare monster fight! Then I feel like I need to restart the battle to give it a proper epic feel xD

...

My favorite characters are Epoch and Elise; although actually all of the characters were a lot of fun. I was worried when I was forced to play as Lee that it might be a scenerio that I wouldn't appreciate... But, even Lee is awesome!

...

I was a little surprised how Epoch had no moral issues after assassinating all of the Rikalia guards in the beginning. I wondered if getting that "Assassin's blade" would negatively affect something... but nope!

...

I was a little outraged when Epoch didn't shout out to his soldier friend when he took his own life... But, I can imagine Epoch didn't realize exactly what he was about to do... Too bad he had to die that way though, would have been nice to give him a redeeming end...

...

The first time I fought Mercellius I spent the battle powering up my spirit lol; then suddenly he said "I'm dissapointed... is that the best you can do?" lol....
I was like wait... Nooo!

...

Oh, that's right... Emily was it? The girl from Alex's time. Her portrait looks really strange... I mean, her chin looks... visually odd... No offense intended, I was wondering if I was the only one that thought that? Or if she is supposed to look that way? Just by reducing the chin a little she looks normal though...

...

I think you handled all of the concurrent scenerios really well! Although when there were six at once they felt a bit short by the end... Each were still great. There was so much content to the game, and I'm hoping that I'm only half way through... I can't imagine how much work must have gone into it so far! But, I loved every minute of it!

...

Although you didn't make (most or all?) of the music in this release, I loved it. I have a soft spot for Shadow Hearts, and even the tracks I didn't recognize fit right in... Maybe these songs were intended for Forever's End after all! xD

...

Ah there was one place on the world map, I don't remember where now, where I could see improper sprites? On the far left of the screen? I could see square or maybe non-alpha blended landmass parts? It was half way through? It's nothing major, but I noticed it...

...

Battles later on sometimes felt a little slow, while waiting for the your character's turn to come up. It's not bad though, just thought I would mention it...

...

Battles felt pretty balanced for the most part. Although I thought it was usually a bit too easy, and the monsters would do some foolish things like recasting spells they already have on themselves. But, then again I DID clear EVERY area, tried to get every little extra secret and powerup available! So... that might explain that! (I was usually on target with the monster's level when I started an area, and exceeded it by the end. Boss battles were usually very easy because of this.) But, the battles were never boring. Thanks to a constant new variety of monsters and scanning/capturing. You can even avoid them usually if you want!

I might say though that the way the aggrovated monsters chase you is a bit too simple. By the end I would just stop right in front of where they would turn blue, making it kind of amusing xD But, the system works as it is... don't want to impose a lot of extra work on something like that...

...

Anyway, bottomline. I enjoyed this game a bunch. Brilliant work! This earns a spot in my top 3 rpgmaker games! (And a high rating in all RPGs!)

Necropolis

I wasn't expecting to like it, but the unusual beginning and witty dialogue won me over. It was like a NES classic that never was, without being a rehash of what we've come to expect :D

The battles were a bit taxing, since I had to battle often to stay fit enough to take on bosses; but the system was good fun, so for the most part I didn't mind~
Though the final boss was rough! I was lvl 8 without all of the best equipment, and that thing quickly demolished me unless I let it heal. I ended up doing the tri-attack for most of a verrrrry long battle.....

Anyway, excellent work!

EDIT: Oh, there was one bug I encountered... When I was in the garden maze, probably the last half?
I had full unobstructed view while walking around until the moment I exited the maze where it for a second went down to the circle. Re-entering the maze from that direction it functioned correctly, reducing vision.

Oh, and although I personally don't feel like like Marcus has an extremely interesting personality; his history and Ridley make up for it (not to mention how he kicks butt!) Best older looking character in a long time!

Backstage II

Just played the demo, and oh, I hope you're still working on it!
Although the character choice text came up quite slowly... the moment I chose a character until the final scream; I couldn't wait to see what lurks in the darkness around every corner (or learn more about the interesting characters).

Funny thing though... I didn't realize this was a sequel despite the "II"... I had no problem enjoying it without playing the first, but I will get on that!

I am a bit amazed at how well the characters fare against the... enemies. (Moreso with the prophet.) But it's good for my health... Also there's nothing like fiddling with one's inventory while being attacked, it's adds to the tension of the situation should you not be prepared!

In any case, well done!

EDIT: Moved my post to the main comments! Accidently posted it here...

This isn't in the game? It looks almost like that one map...
