XEAROTH93Z'S PROFILE

Im a huge fan of the classics, such as NES and Gameboy. i am currently working on 2 games now, neither one is close to completion. these will probably be the only games i make unless i get another inspiration and enough knowledge.

Dissidia Final Fantasy 2: Should there be?

I just found out that they've also just recently confirmed Vaan as a character. He doesnt look as...girly....as he does in FF12.
His attack style seems a little confusing from just reading the explanation.

Tips on Making Good Forests

Thanks for all the advice. Its starting to come together pretty well, although ive still got a loooonng way to go.

FF1_World_Map_recreation.png

Usually when I make maps, i almost always forget to take into account how fast the walking speed is, so i usually make it either too big or too small.

ill see what I can do to make it smaller.

it just stinks b/c i already had all of the events I planned out put onto the WM, like changing from a character to a canoe and back and that took a while, considering I had a ton of rivers mapped everywhere.

itd probably be a lot easier to do if VX had a selecting tool instead of a map shifter.

Elfheim.jpg

same world with new story, basically a sequel, cuz it has a lot of stuff to do with the first game.

Final Fantasy: Awakening of the Warrior

Its not showing any text at all in game? Hmm, thats odd.
Ill see whats wrong and ill get it fixed.

The Great Switch: Why VXP is Better

That's what I don't understand about the VX crowd. You can't stand letting people do what they want. It's always "Use This! Upgrade that! It's so much easier if you use VX!" Maybe people just like using certain engines, is that a problem? I don't go around saying people should use 2k3 or anything.

I agree, although I am a VX user. I dont really care what engine others decide to use cuz its their game and their choice. The main reason the VXP users say its better is because thats what they want to think about it. I still like 2k3 but the limitations had finally got to me so I switched. So if some people want to use 2k/3, let em.

As for the lack of tilesets in VX, yes, I agree. I want to make a game set partially in modern day, and partially in a fantasy world. Can I do that with RTP VX graphics? It'll take some tweaking, but I don't see an apartment complex coming out of the RTP tilesets very well. *shrug*

thats probably the only thing in VX that irritates me, besides finding the right script compatibility. Im actually in the process of making a game that does exactly that, and I didn't change anything in the tilesets, except add a new TileE. I just use the nicer looking tiles for the "real world" and the older, more medieval looking tiles in the "fantasy" world. Unless you want to change TileE and fill it with stuff that would be more modern like TV's or street lights or whatever.

But seriously, whether or not you think VXP is better than 2k/3 is all up to the one making the game, and let them switch makers if that's what they want to do. And, yeah, if they KNOW ussing scripts is easier, then maybe they just dont want to take the easy way and try to get better at eventing and stuff by challenging themselves and doing it the hard way.

Final Fantasy: Awakening of the Warrior

its after the end of dissidia; it has nothing to actually do with the game. its for timeline purposes only
and it basically is a sequel.

Battle Engine Melody error

i found one thing. I forgot to take out another battle script so the battles start now, but the victory aftermath script giving an error now.

I just cant win.

Edit: took out victory script and it works fine now. therell probably be more errors with this thing, though.

Map_16.png

i think that since it looks so dense, that there was a need to show the exits

Battle Engine Melody error

I added the YEM Battle scripts into my game, but it keep getting this error:

Script 'YEM Battle Engine Melody IV' line 5823: ArgumentError occurred.
wrong number of arguments(0 for 2)

Can someone help plz?

EDIT: Using VX (if it wasnt obvious)
