YDS'S PROFILE
"see you on the other side of the moon, space rocker"
... is a LoOnY PiOnEEr (of Super Nintendo World Maps) named Max K.L of the golden state. This awesome dude totally believes games could be more (hoooly!) than giant ~bouncing~ tatas, explosions and muscles. Max wishes to share a world inside the dude's head to those who cared to turn around, and prove to Guy Montag that not all interactive media will become Soldiers of Dumb.

Is AIM down for anyone else?
Erm, a lot of folks ... ? I don't even use the program (as I said earlier). I often times alternate between Meebo and Pidgin. Though most of the people on my buddy list are from AIM, so.
Is AIM down for anyone else?
Um no. I don't use a program version of AIM here, its all browser-based. After asking around, aZnchipmunk has the same problem, so perhaps its a Northern CA thing.
Is AIM down for anyone else?
I've been trying to log on for half an hour and it keeps on rejecting me. I've tried Meebo, Gmail, AIM Express -- I even tried registering for a new screen name and I just can't. ???

An FFX thread for you schmucks

Yeah, it was having to win the Chocobo race.
I spent about 25-30 hours on the main chunk of the game, and maybe 5-10 hours more on all the subquests, which I kind of did mostly during the game too. Most everyone had finished two sphere grids.
I thought FFX was a very refreshing RPG -- much different than the prior FF's. They kind of got away from the "We have to save the world and that's all we're after." They had some real character development -- I think Yuna was the only one with the "save the world" mentality, but even then, she was kind of trying to follow in her father's footsteps. Tidus was more along for the ride, aside from the fact that he wanted to know more about what happened to him, who he is, etc. Lulu and Wakka have this thing going on between them the entire game -- I really wish they would've kept it up. It felt like it died more or less after Lucca/The Crusader Annihilation. I really enjoyed that subplot, and it would've been nice to see them get a LITTLE closer. Kimarhi was kind of your "thrown in" character -- I think comparable to Cait Sith, Mog, Amarant, or Umaro -- kind of the "misc" character who has some story, but not a whole lot. And who could forget Auron, your stereotypical "wiser" character, but he does a nice job of really kind of letting everyone figure out, as opposed to reveal everything at some point in time later in the game. The characters all have some molds they kind of conform to, I think, but they really kind of shift from your standard definition of it. i.e. Auron not spilling all the beans, Wakka and Lulu kind of hush-hush about the romance that built, Kimarhi having subtle hints about his past all throughout the game, Tidus and has "along for the ride" mentality... Even Yuna's "I want to be like my dad and honor my family" theme.
It was really well developed. I hope FF13 can be at least almost as good as 10.
Downfall from IV .... ?
