In Massachusetts ... during the cold winter of 1692, a small town of Salem was on the verge of rioting. Young girls ran into the courtroom, claiming that they were cursed by witches! The little village is in a frenzy trying to hunt down and figure out who is who. Will you be able to save the hamlet before it destroys themselves!

Each Day will be twenty-four hours long. Each night will also be twenty-four hours long unless all actions are submitted early.

About
In its simplest form, Mafia consists of two sides: the Mafia, and the Town. The Mafia's goal is to kill the innocents, while the Town's goal is to kill the Mafia.
At the beginning of the game, the Moderator will secretly send everyone their role. The Mafia will know each other, while (in the basic game) everyone else will only know their own role.
The game has two phases. Usually the first is Night. During Night, the Town can not communicate, but the Mafia can discuss and choose someone to murder. After the Moderator has received the name of the victim, the Moderator reveals the dead player, and Day begins.
During Day, the Town must choose someone to Lynch (in this case ban; they are trying to eliminate the Mafia, but the Mafia can lead them astray by casting suspicion elsewhere. Generally, players will vote for someone they think is Mafia (the Mafia will vote so that they seem to be doing this as well, and might even vote for each other to confuse the Town); when a player gets a majority of the votes, they are lynched. Their role is revealed by the Moderator, and it is once again Night.

The game alternates between Night and Day until either the Mafia are eliminated, or the Mafia have killed everyone else.

Rules
*** If you know you will be absent for a night you may send me your action ahead of time.
*** You may NOT copy and past system messages to confirm each other.
*** witches do NOT send me PM until you have discussed with each other who you want to kill.
*** You must submit your actions to me via private message during the night before it is over.
*** There will be no talking in the thread night. Repeated violations will result in your game-death.
*** No discussion about the game can occur outside of the game unless you are the mafia or asking me a question.
*** It is recommended that you do not reveal your role
*** If you cannot continue the game, please tell me via private message and I will take care of matters from there - don't stall the game.
*** Please respect one another. Mafia can get very heated, but do not take anything personally! This is just a role playing game.
*** Lynching will occur based off of who had the highest lynch votes (in some cases, it may be just "abstain")

The Witches Side
*Note there be more than one Abigail Williams*
Tituba - Reverend Parris's black slave from Barbados. Tituba agrees to perform voodoo at Abigail's request. You may block the role of a townsmen during the night time.
Abigail Williams - Reverend Parris's niece. Abigail was once the servant for the Proctor household, but Elizabeth Proctor fired her after she discovered that Abigail was having an affair with her husband, John Proctor. Abigail is smart, wily, a good liar, and vindictive when crossed. You and your friends may vote to kill someone off each night.

The Town Roles
Reverend John Hale - A young minister reputed to be an expert on witchcraft. Reverend Hale is called in to Salem to examine Parris's daughter Betty. Hale is a committed Christian and hater of witchcraft. His critical mind and intelligence save him from falling into blind fervor. His arrival sets the hysteria in motion, although he later regrets his actions and attempts to save the lives of those accused. You may save someone during the night. If you save a “witch”â€"the evilness of the witch will kill you.
Judge Danforth - The deputy governor of Massachusetts and the presiding judge at the witch trials. Honest and scrupu-lous, at least in his own mind, Danforth is convinced that he is doing right in rooting out witchcraft. You may execute one person during the day. If you execute the wrong person, you will be lynched as well! You must send the operator a private message. Your role may be hidden from the public, that way.
Judge Hathorne - A judge who presides, along with Danforth, over the witch trials. You may investigate one person each night.
Elizabeth & John Proctor - John Proctor's wife. Elizabeth fired Abigail when she discovered that her husband was having an affair with Abigail. Elizabeth is supremely virtuous, but often cold.

Ezekiel Cheever - A man from Salem who acts as clerk of the court during the witch trials. He is upright and determined to do his duty for justice. You are friends with Herrick. You know for sure that he is not a witch. At night you may be able to talk to each other via PMs.

Herrick - The marshal of Salem. You are friends with Ezekiel. You know for sure that he is not a witch. At night you may be able to talk to each other via PMs.


Pokerface Role
Mary Warren - The servant in Thomas Putman's household and a member of Abigail's group of girls. She is a timid girl, easily influenced by those around her, who tried unsuccessfully to expose the hoax and ultimately recanted her confession. The Traitor is not a mafioso, but works with their vote during the day cycle to protect the Witches and hamper the town. If you are ordered to be killed by the Witches, you will join their ranks. If not, you will officially count as a “villager”. If a detective investigates you, you will come up as innocent.
