Non-RM Engines: What's stopping you?
I love the point and click feature of the RM engine and the fact that you're able to see what you're doing as you make the game not like other game makers that have you staring at a screen full of letters and coding. So yeah, ease of use and user interface is why I stuck with RPG maker.

Trying to help a chemist figure out why his experiment is failing. . .one option is impossible and just annoys him, another is doable but not that helpful and the third gets you the most xp because he hadn't thought of doing it. You get a quest afterwards to collect a soil sample in a far-away region.
I'm sorry but the options you give make the scientist more like a Biologist than a Chemist! xD

Although you stated quite the obvious Brickroad, that's really a helpful tutorial! Thanks a bunch, I made sure to save it as a .txt file if I ever release any games.
