Ironic, I just got Shadow of the Colossus from GameFly a couple of weeks ago, although I sent it back and just got Tales of Aybss today. SotC was good, the ninth boss is? It's not the sad worm which took me a long time to fight. The tortoise with the geysers? Yeah, the secret garden is awesome to. It's boring but a good type of boring. The last colossus got me frustrated especially when he threw me off and I was hit with the never ending blasts. To far away to go back to him and two far away to get back to take cover.

I was struggling with the turtle too but I found that:

If you hold R1 while running with the horse at full speed and tilt the left analog stick up, you can grab onto the neck area of the turtle and quickly finish it off. I did it the other way and it took me about an hour, even then I wasn't killing it, just flipping it over a couple of times. The electric bursts were powerful so it made it difficult.

I'm finding all of them since no.3 to be quite challenging but that's good I guess. I hear the 12th boss is a real nuisance. >.>

Still playing Persona 4. Well, not really. I actually haven't been playing a lot of videogames lately...

Did the story make you cry or was it bad? I'm guessing the first one. In Persona 4 I'm in Heavan's paradise every battle is pretty challenging now. Need some good combination. I need to get more SP somehow, Mahamon and Tarkram(sp?) are draining my SP and Megidola.

Didn't make me cry just gave me that empty feeling if you know what I mean. After thinking about it, it's not so bad. :P

As for SP management, this topic has some good info (towards page 3 or 4):

I found the start of the game unbearably difficult but once I got access to some SP recovery stuff, it made the game more easier to play.

Shadow of the Colossus has the best fucking trees I've see in any game I have ever played. I used to just wander around in it's large detailed world just lizard hunting, fruit hunting, and grabbing onto eagles to fly and admire the scenery.

Jumping off the bridge and using the parachute cloak is fun too.

Yeah tree climbing is quite fun too, I didn't know about latching onto eagles to fly though. Sounds great as does the parachute cloak, do you get this later in the game? I'm at the 12th Colossus.

Punch Out!! - For the Wii

I think there are three control systems and that includes the nunchuck method Wii Sport uses.

@Mitsuhide: Yeah well it's nothing against the game but the system itself (annoying white colour against everything that's black, lack of games not made by Nintendo, poor controllers for classic gaming etc). I guess it is a personal issue.

I've read a couple of reviews on the game and it seems a game worth buying and you obviously like it so I'll definitely get it if I can overcome the hump I have with the Wii.

Finished Games 2009

The Backloggery tends to do that to you...

Games I've finished since Persona 4:

Okami (PS2)

Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (SNES)

Fantasy Zone Gear (GG)

Shinobi II: The Silent Fury (GG)

Shinobi (GG)

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (GBC)

Mario Kart Wii (Wii)

Donkey Kong (GBC)

----

Has anyone played the Shinobi games on the Game Gear? The first one was one of the most difficult games I've played on a handheld but the second one was easier thanks to the save system.

Punch Out!! - For the Wii

I absolutely loved the NES game but as this game is on the Wii, it loses a lot of attraction for me personally. I'll be sure to get it once it's price drops but for the moment I'd rather play more of the original.

Eversion

You should really play it the way Zaratustra wanted you to play it though. I mean warps are fine as long as they're not exploits but then again I won't play this any time soon.

Playing Persona 4 and trying to play the translated Persona 2: Innocent Sin.

Playing two Persona games at once is crazy! I'm playing Shadow of the Colossus, struggled with the 9th boss before realising there was a simple way to defeat it. Before that I was playing Okami and I liked that more but SotC is definitely one of the most impressive games I've played on any console.

Metroid Prime Trilogy for Wii

I never liked the Metroid Prime series but that boxart would sell a lot more copies than the standard boxart Nintendo comes up with.
