ZEUZIO'S PROFILE

Just a lizard who makes games sometimes, allegedly!

I'm a computer science student and thus learning how to code...though I also work full time to support myself so my time and energy are limited these days. Still, I hope to get back into gamedev at some point and maybe play a game or two every once and awhile. I'm wanting to maybe learn another engine such as Game Maker or Unity, though RPG's are still my main area of interest so RPG Maker will always have a place in my heart.

Loving the site updates

The game listings page needs a lot of work, but I like a lot of things about it. Like how the creator's name is listed and the "staff blurb" idea. When everything is fixed, the page for the actual games themselves needs to be updated...

Where's Your Username From?

My username, Like DD's, comes from the series I've been working on.

Going further back however, I suppose my liking of the word came from the N64 game "Jet Force Gemini". Although I haven't played it a lot, I once played it at a friend's house on multiplayer mode. I guess the word just stuck with me.

Animal Crossing - Wild World

I used to have this game, and it was really fun for a long while. Just like the previous title, however, it lost it's appeal to me over time. So I sold it. If I still had it though, I would definatly swap some friend codes and visit some different towns.

New guy and noob to RMN and RMXP!

Welcome to RMN!

Don't be afraid to ask for help, but try to be specific with what your wanting help with. I'm pretty new to RPG Maker also, but it's easy to pick up. Just experiment with the program a bit before you start any major project, and it'll help you out a lot.

Just play it if you want to or at any time. I'm open to any honest, reasonable, and/or helpful feedback. Thanks!

:The Game Making Drive/Blog Topic

This week's progress (and some time before that)

I...
1. have most of the sprites, battle sprites, and facesets that I need.
2. have the story (for the most part) planned out.
3. have a list of all the skills, spells, and special moves for the characters

Well, I have more than that, but that's all I'm listing for now.

Also, most of the faces will have expressions, so that you don't have to look at the same expression over and over.

Play Something! Day III [February 4th, 2009]

Okay, so the two games that I plan to play and reveiw so far are:

Gem's "Play Something" list
Dragon Fantasy II by Ephiam
Ruptured Souls Demo by Max McGee

I'll be glad to add any requests to that list. But for now, that's all I'll be playing.

Play Something! Day III [February 4th, 2009]

I'd love to participate in this, but I have no idea what to play. So, if anyone requests for me to play their game, I'll play it and write up a fair reveiw. Got it? Good. In the meantime, I'll try to find something to play without a request and give a review on it, whether they like it or not.

I've never written a review before, so this should be fun.

Release Something! V - Discussion Thread

Thanks for the feedback on SotL, Halibabica. I basically agree with you on most things. This was my first project, so I wasn't expecting it to be a great game, for sure. But I think it deserves a bit more than a 1/10...

Best DS Games

Ummm... It's kind of dumb to remake a game and change the gameplay from what is was. After all, when I buy the port of a game, I want to play that game, how it originaly was, maybe with better graphics. Well, I think this because I didn't grow up with the NES or the Super Nintendo. So when I play the port to a NES or a Super game, I want it to feel like I'm actually playing the game how it was on its original console. I don't want the difficulty to be lightened up or even made harder, either.

I also really enjoyed FF3 DS, and I'm playing through Chrono Trigger DS now.
