I'm a computer science student and thus learning how to code...though I also work full time to support myself so my time and energy are limited these days. Still, I hope to get back into gamedev at some point and maybe play a game or two every once and awhile. I'm wanting to maybe learn another engine such as Game Maker or Unity, though RPG's are still my main area of interest so RPG Maker will always have a place in my heart.

zipping a folder

Well, if you have Vista, I think you can just right click the folder, go down to "Send To" and select "Compressed Zipped Folder". This is probably true to other Windows programs also, but I'm not sure... Anyway, if you do this, a new folder will be created that is zipped up and ready to go.
