Most of my spare time is taken up either writing music or drinking beer (pilsner) with a friend and going over our great idea for a RPG story. Whether we will ever have enough time to make it into a game is another question, but if we do we'll put it up here.

The RPG Music Challenge
I would have thought that a layer is a layer, layering up multiple instruments in a DAW would be the same as using multiple midi layers to create a fuller sound, but that's just me being anal about the spec.
I'm playing it safe with just three basic layers, or I will be when I actually write the thing. Great idea for a phase, you forget how tricky it can be creating a good piece without the luxury of an entire arsenal of sounds at your disposal.
Definitely writing mine tomorrow...
