make sure the event's priority is set to be Same as Characters; if it's Below Characters you have to be on top of an event and press the action button to make it work

aren't the frightening fast attack animations made to cover up the fact the animation themselves use like 2-3 frames per animation?
that said i haven't played the original in even more years so i dunno

lotro owns because HP = morale so you can do AoE damage by shouting and restore HP by yelling triumphantly. goty
