i have played every kingdom hearts game and the closest i came to liking one of them was the gba one with the cards

also the story is convoluted retarded horseshit, but Birth By Sleep is the worst offender for featuring this:

not as good as ffx-2 but close
though the story was, well, pretty lame (but balthier made up for it i guess)

loved a lot more than the random encounter-laden grindfests from past generations

anyway:
if they can do for ff13 what ffx-2 did for ffx, then i'm all for this

(i realize ffx-2 had random encounters too but it also has a better battle system than ffx (though ffx had a pretty smart battle system, it just didn't do as much with it))

i don't suppose you're using/are willing to use Battle Engine Melody? it comes with a <pharmacology only> tag that allows items to be used only by party members with the pharmacology trait (as well as a bunch of other neat things you can do with items to make them more interesting).

my recollection of ffx:

auron equips ultimate weapon > auron's confused > auron hits tidus 99999 > auron hits wakka 99999 > auron commits suicide

to be fair i never used/talked to sten much, i guess he just never caught my attention to begin with

this is based on my experience playing on ps3 so maybe i'll actually bother talking to him this time, i guess i couldn't dislike him more than alistair!
