Actually, I'm not the first one to use FE9 portraits for a VX game. Have you checked out A Dust Tale? That's where I got the idea from to use those portraits. ^^
So that's why :3 They are so cool but yet making custom art is cooler, right? :3
edit: I saw them already but they look futuristic and I am more into medieval times. :3

@cokidoki: Laine's FE version is put together by using various FE characters of the same game. FE9 has nearly 70 different full body shots ( there may be more ). Look at the general in black with the pinkish hair in my first post. That's where I got part of Laine's hair from.
Yes, I know that Luchi but I have never combined their hair. I have tried making those frankenportraits of FE9 before for my game but I guess, there will be no originality if I do same coz you're already using those. :) :(

@cokidoki: Thanks. :) I suppose in the not so far future, custom art all the way for the game's final full release. But I don't know when that's going to happen.
A question to you guys: Does the resolution of the custom art look... odd? As if its enlarged or something? I have no idea how to make my art look, you know... clearer? Since I lack a tablet, I don't go over my original lineart, I just darken it.
Testing out a cutscene with the FE edits. The smaller portrait size means up to 4 characters can be on a screen at once. I <3 the look of this. So... clean. ^^ Or maybe it's the colours.
Yes. I love that cutscene. I love Laine's FE look. But you said that you lack a tablet, so how did you manage to draw her hair like that and her shoulder armor? :3

@Apple: Yes, I do wish someone would help me out with the art, for free. But fat chance of that happening, hey? Most of the best art is normally commissioned.
@Dy: That was a joke about my art being horrible, you know. ^^ The original art isn't getting ditched at all, since I do like it, just those issues plague me sometimes. I'm still trying very hard to refine my art, though. Maybe 6 months from now I'll look at the art and try to redo everything.
The FE rips/mugshots are gorgeous, though. I've always admired that series' art style. I suppose the whole reason I'm so attached to it, is because that's how I got to know Laine and Pat. The mugshots gave them personality, which I built on over time. So yeah, there's some sentimental value there for me.
But yes. I'm still going to make the two options avaliable for download.
Wow. you must be really worried which to choose. Im one of those who voted for the FE portrait of yours but as I look at your artwork, I realized that your artwork is really something which gave life to Enelysion. I really dont care which you choose but it's still up to you Luchi which style you are going to use for your game. It's your game after all and we will be always supporting you :3

Hahaha. yeah. I know. :D
But I am also able to execute ENU's tankentai for vx ace but of course I was not able to make custom skills for it :p and there're a lot of haters of tankentai so.. I keep distance from it :P hahaha. (eventhough I like it, but it's pretty much for lazy users they said.)
But I wasn't able to animate my $insertenemyspritehere in jet's sideview coz his animated battlers and his sideview script are not compatible, I think :(((
