Man marries a videogame character ( Only in Japan)
post=109535
This is as bad as that guy that tried to marry Mikuru Asahina from the anime melancholy of haruhi suzumiya
Oh dear, and he didn't even manage? That's rubbing salt into a wound.

Wow that machine sprite looks so good D-Bones!
Looks like a lot of detail has been put into it.
+hima, those Alice screenies look very pretty, you have a good artist on your side! The problem i had with the videos was that the poses didn't seem to work as fluidly as they could have, but i can't see that holding the game back much.

Weird. Though some woman did get married to a fairground ride once. I suppose this is sort of a step up.
I wonder if his parents approved.

Your First Game
post=109519
first game was called 'firey blade' (complete with misspelling).
Hahahah.
Reminds me of my first game except mine was utter rubbish, and even i realised it at the time.
Some girls mum gets kidnapped, so she goes looking for her with a sidekick panda or something stupid. It basically consisted of the lines 'have you seen my mum?' 'no.' 'best move on to the next town then, panda!'
I think i was about 10.
And i called it disillusioned fantasies, for no other reason than i liked the sound of the words. It was like 15 minutes long.
I haven't completed a game since :/
The Right Brain vs Left Brain test
Eehhhh she's definitely going clockwise.
I'm trying to use mind power to make her go anti-clockwise but it's not flying.

Don't mind me, just watching movies
The Film Festival's going on here, so i saw a couple of films on the big screen i wouldnt've otherwise been able to.
I saw Ponyo yesterday, and it was the cutest, most heartwarming thing i've seen in a long long time. It sounds like it would be disturbing("a fish with a girls head" ...) but it was actually pulled off so well.
It made me feel so :)
Though i did :'( at one point during it, which was a bit wierd, i havent cried during a film since i saw...something long ago. I actually felt happy at the time too, maybe i'm going crazy.
I also saw Angel's Egg which was just...wierd. It definitely left me thinking(which is an incredible feat)
Amazing animation though (Y)

Oceans bunches of stuffs
Yeah, those sprites are really nice! Your pixel work is pretty ace :)
And i think your colouring scheme is good, it shows you have a style, but you do have to be able to work with different kinds of colour schemes(well obviously you don't have to do anything, but...it helps) - like the full shot of the person, she looks like she's somewhere well lit up rather than a dark forest.
Though i'm not one to talk about lighting.

Lessons learned from MIGS
This conference does sound very interesting, looking forward to more :)
I wouldn't go so far as to say the quality of a game means almost nothing(though i'm no expert), seeing as it's a pretty important part in getting your game noticed, but i understand your(and the speakers') point.
It's sad that advertisements and essentially a lot of money = success, but i suppose that's the way a lot of things go.
I wish Imagine games would pass on their money+advertisements to better(and that doesn't take much) companies.
I looked up that baby advertisement and i wish i hadn't :(

I wish I could put in detail like that. I can draw pretty well, but I don't have a drawing tablet or Photoshop because I fail like that. :(
Still, awesome work Boobledeeboo and Merry Christmas to you too. :)
