Hahah, i wouldn't call it special skills.
I mightve exaggerated the reflexes like lighting bit, I just ran around a lot.

Those nightmares are freaky :(
My scariest dream was a recurring one of a snake and a wolf ganging up of me in a shed trying to eat me. They never managed though, my reflexes were like lightning.
2nd scariest was with telletubies in, it was horrendous, no joke.

Well it's nicer for you to give critique rather than just criticize.
You can't expect everybody to do everything perfectly, and get angry when they don't.

Well, seeing as it's rpgmaker.net, i'd say give rpgmaker a go. 2003, XP or VX(people will disagree with which one you should use), but i'd say start with 2003(just wait for everyone to jump in and argue hahah).
Unless you're very clever with lots of free time, don't make an engine from scratch. That would be effooort.

AFD, that system is actually nice considering it is RM2k3. Glad to see it actually works.
Barring the terrible and oversized UI, all I see is a very clunky picture over-reacting to small hits given by the playable character.
You're very critical aren't you?
It's looks decently fluid and nicely done to me. A better looking ABS than a lot of attempts on rm2k3.
