I figure the ID list doesn't need to be altered because of a hiatus. Cancellation... maybe. It depends on whither or not the character(s) in question were ever published. Like, unpublished work that is cancelled could "free up" slots for others to use, whereas work that was published but was cancelled would get a "cancelled" tag a-la Fran.
Though, that's merely my belief.
I agree with this. Besides, given the current activity level on this board (I now only check in a couple times a week myself), I doubt we'll ever run out of slots.

That's correct. ERASE CENTER will erase whatever has been previously placed there with the SHOW command.

I'm not sure Kagami's outfit looks like "town wear" so much as just a different school uniform. Otherwise I agree with Marrend that these look very nice -- I especially like Airi's top and Rie's...well, pretty much her whole outfit. Well done.

Sometimes, I want to slate some of the older "in progress" content as "cancelled". I'm talking about characters from Nekochi and LordNight, mostly, though, there have also been considerations for TtheDragon, and, because it's me, KimotoDragoon.
I seem to recall suggesting this at one point, but someone higher than me on the food chain nixed the idea (might have been a different project, though). Anyway, I'd be fine with saying that if the creator hasn't updated (or at least posted something about) their character in some set amount of time (a year? two years?), it should be reflected in some way. Perhaps "abandoned" might be a better term to use than "cancelled" though, since for me cancelled implies a choice by the creator.

I'm still around, and there have been moments when I see Dozen's name on the Community Portal under "Currently Active Members" (he chooses not to post, and that's his prerogative). I wish I could say the same about dewelar or flowerthief, though.

Still here, still doing my best to check this board once a day. Since this is the only project I'm involved with on this site, that's kind of all I do. I kind of hit a block on my update of Noriko to be better able to incorporate Masako's in-game status, because it felt too complicated to be worth the effort, at least for now. Besides that, most of my creative juices are currently being used elsewhere, but I hope to have Developments finished by spring. At that point I'd like to say I'll start work on Takako in earnest, but I know better than to make such predictions.
Anyway, I admit that I, too, find the lack of activity disturbing. Lots of unfinished stuff that I want to actually play and not just beta-test. I also agree with Marrend that any additional material, no matter how minor it may seem, that can be made available for use by us content creators that have limited ability with the visual arts would be MOST welcome!

Indeed, Dozen's explanation makes a lot of sense, and as I mentioned all I was intending was to fix the obvious issues in Yuu's story file. That's what made flowerthief's message to me so perplexing. I had sent a list of some errors I found in both Yuu and Junko's story files to him as well as Dozen and Marrend. His response, in its entirety, was (and hopefully he doesn't mind me posting this):

So... wait. What's the point of the "Abandoned Character Project" if it's not allowed to take up abandoned characters? Why is the ID-listing putting Dozen as the "caretaker" of 21 Ways if he can't actually do anything with her? I mean, was that not at least half the point of setting "caretakers" to begin with? Am I missing something, here?
I don't recall what the origins of the project were, but I will note that I went ahead with my fixes for my own private use anyway. If allowed, I would post the updated story file, but as of now I'd need the OK from flowerthief before doing so.
