Yeeeeah, but VX has a very square "grid", if you get what I mean. The autotiles don't do that...diagonal thing...? You know, how it looks in the older makers, what with the rounder edges and what not.

AGH, I am terrible at explaining things like this. Basically: parallax maps are nice because you don't have to worry about the grid.

Och, too true! D: I'm also noticing a pretty sick carpeting error... AGH, I should just redo this map. It's old as sin, anyway. x3

Oh, yeah! Totally! They also ride it to a magical candy land just over the ridge. x3

(Actually, I never thought about switching the train over. I was using regular RTP sprites before, so it was a good size then. I'll probably just swap it back to the XP size now! Thanks for pointing it out. c:)

(I'm surprised you didn't notice the rock error, though - the one in the bottom left corner. x3)

I ended up cutting the shadows for now, unfortunately! There were too many bugs with the menu system and battle system, so it just wasn't worth it anymore.

OH, and I guess I should put this up somewhere - the maps aren't done by me - they were done by a friend of mine. Ahahaha... I'm a spriter, not a mapper. Still, uh... still workin' on that. x3

Yeeeah, the battle backs are being re-worked!
I was thinking about painting them - but, maaaaan. So low on my priority list for this. x3
