...I suggest avoiding these and using the built in tutorial. It is complete and does a WAY better job at teaching you AGS.

Lethrface's Splash Screens

Since this runs before the title screen, it runs before the Y6 engine's screen resize. This makes it look awkward and not smooth when it transitions from the splash to the resized title screen. Is there any way to fix this in either scripts?

Changing Message Window Size with Y6 Engine

Whoops, replied instead of editing the OP... sorry about that

Changing Message Window Size with Y6 Engine

Now that I think about it....

In all honesty it seems kind of odd to use an RPG engine to make a movie.
Have you heard of visual novels/comics? You should consider making one of those instead, depending on the point-of-view your planning on using.
For example, in first-person, you're the main character and can choose among dialogue options that progress the plot, and maybe even change the outcome. Like movies, these can be based mainly on plot and story rather than gameplay, but it'd make the game a lot more fun and accessible to RPG Maker players.

Changing Message Window Size with Y6 Engine

Is it possible to change the message window size (height and width) so that more text is able to be displayed? I'm thinking a placement of between the Middle and Bottom default placements, but extending all the way to the bottom of the screen so I can fit more into it.

Is it possible to do with the Y6 Message script?
If not, are there any other scripts that allow me to do this while being compatible with Y6?

EDIT: Another question, thought I'd post here instead of a new thread - I'm using the Splash Screen script by Jet10985, and while it doesn't conflict with Y6, the screen resolution isn't changed until after the splash is displayed. This ends up with a sudden size change after the splash, which isn't a huge problem, but looks terribly awkward and if there are any fixes, please tell me

[EDIT: solved] System Window Not Detecting Transparency

author=Trihan
Have you tried saving it as png instead of bmp?
I just did- when I import the image it flashes the color transparent likes its supposed to, yet still doesn't work when I test the game.
Right now the temporary solution is to just entirely throw out transparency, and color the background color same as the window box, so at least it won't be noticed. Hopefully the game's graphics aren't glitched in some horrible way...

EDIT: Problem solved

the GIMP program was compressing the file and removing unnecessary colors, resulting in a smaller than 256 bit depth... I changed this in the 'Mode' settings and it works now.

[EDIT: solved] System Window Not Detecting Transparency

I have a problem in RPG Maker 2003;
I've gone and edited and saved my nice sys1 window in MS Paint, colored the background a bright pink color easy to see... I open up the game, import it, select the pink color as the transparency, test the game... And there's that same pink color everywhere. I'm wondering if there's some sort of glitch or error I'm missing, any help is appreciated.

Things I've already tried:
-checked to make sure the image was saved as the correct file type of .bmp(if it wasn't, it usually shows up all black in game anyway)
-changed the pink color to a different color and set that different color as transparent
-edited in GIMP to double make sure the filetype and bit depth were correct
-reselected the original system image file to check if transparency worked then (it did)

Has anyone else had this repeated problem? Its rather frustrating...
