It's funny, I bought the new VX version and saw that the chip sets i had spent hours on wouldnt work and immediately went back to 2003...
sad day.
Yeah, but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to stick with something I was familiar with. Like I still swear by paintshop as the best editor, because it's so simple and easy to use, and I can do just what I want, without a thousand options in the way. (I save in GIMP though).

Was really just playing with the chipset, my basic layout idea for the Dragon Shrine, not sure what it needs though. Will have plenty of npcs in it though

That was my roundabout way of asking why does he get smaller and his clothes get tighter when he defends?
The waist(and bottom half, though cut his legs down a bit) is actually the exact size Jean had in the game, but I think you're right that I need to bulk him up a bit. As for the tightness, the ladies love it?
I see what youre saying on the tightness though, I had to use ryu's native sprite for some of it, because Jean's body wasnt sufficient, I should baggy out those pants.

Well I did originally only post 1/4, which didnt give anything away, I may go back to that.
But i wanted people to read it over to make sure that it's true to the series and decent overall

Romance!
As for romance... still working on the inner workings of the group. there will be plenty of dialogue and character development, for now, ryu's best friend has feelings for him, ryu does not reciprocate, princess of windia also has feelings for ryu, but again, ryu does not reciprocate.
I think it would be nice to actually have a breath of fire game with romance in regard to the main character.
curious what everyone thinks.

There's just three things I want to mention here:
• Protege should only have one "e" at the end.
• Using paragraphs instead of whatever method you're using here probably couldn't hurt.
• Claiming that the heroes were an "amusement" after watching his son die doesn't seem like a very realistic way for a father to feel, even if he's supposed to be some sort of heartless villain.
My apologies for the spelling error there, I was just quickly jotting it down. The villain only says that because he believes ryu to be the one who can open the way beneath dologany, which are his true intentions for not killing him. I could just have him leave, but what excuse would he give to not killing him to make them think that he's not keeping them alive for a legitimate reason?
Oh and they style was just jotting down plot point after plot point, transferring it from word didn't do it much justice.

I really don't mind it when you update lots of screenshots at first because you need to have them on your page to gain attention. However, a good way to show off sprite edits would be to include the sprite in a map or a battle scene, rather than posting the spritesheet. If you must show off a spritesheet, upload it to your locker and show it in the forum ^^
Blogging is an entirely different thing. Screenshots can only be posted one at a time, but blogging can contain numerous strings of text (as Versalia has demonstrated. XD) It'd be kind of like me posting different sections of this comment separately, it'd make no sense. A good template is about a blog post a week, you see? ^^

I'm sure you're excited but there's very little excuse for posting three relatively unimportant sprite edits in rapid succession. You'll find that quite a few people are touchy about their screens being shoved off the main page...
even swapping out my sprites changes your screens? even if i dont post them in a blog? I dont get it.
I did post one page of sprite edits in a blog though, if there's what youre talking about, which i just posted about above your comment.
i do see how they put my sprite that i just uploaded on the main page, but there are images there that i uploaded a while ago...
not sure how to even update this if people will complain that i'm... updating my page.
