Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy

Okay - got past him. Went to the hints and tips section which told of a couple of things to do after getting the airship. Went to Mt. Ordeals and got all of the tier 2 weapons for everybody, then put Darius and Vera into my group and grinded the hell out of the mountain with the skeletons - which give good exp. and cash when in groups of four - which is pretty often. By the time Darius hit level 27 - he was the lowest leveled character in this group - Vahn was level 40!, Nobu level 39 and Vera level 30. THEN, I went back to the rift shrine, dumped Vera and Darius, picked up my two heavy hitters - Siegfried and Bosche - and hit the arena for another sixteen rounds (up to progress 66 there now) where I scored a tier 2 bow for Bosche that was better than the one he picked up at Mt. Ordeals! Tried to score a wriggling thingy for Ami on the little island, but the cactuars must not drop very often because I killed about twenty of them with Nobu's Ninja Darts and got nothing but cash and exp. Finally, I headed back to the Citadel, and with my overleveled characters I beat Lord Zeul in just a handful of rounds. Rock! Now saved on the world map outside of Branch Castle for the next encounter. Couple of questions - went to the Chocobo racetrack to find a black chocobo - but there's not one there. Also - how does one access the Arachnid lair? I loves me some spider-monsters!

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy

I CANNOT beat Lord Zeul at the citadel with Vahn, Vera & Darius - which are the characters I'm limited to. SOOoooo frustrated. I've tried several times to no avail. Vahn is at level 33, and granted I haven't used Vera and Darius much - so Vera is level 21 and Daruis is level 19. Soooo, do I have to do some freakishly boring grinding to level these characters up before I face him, or is there an easy way past this? If I do have to grind - where is the best place that gives tons of exp.? Geez - your estimate of 20 - to 30 hours is conservative at best. I know I've put at least 40 hours into this game, and have just now gotten the airship. I need either a great hint to beat Zeul, or a cheat - yes - a cheat. Getting ready to give up on this game - as much as I was enjoying it up until now.

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy

Thanks - all questions answered and am successfully moving forward!

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy

Also, wanted to know how far along approximately am I in the game at this point, and what world map am I on now. The ones you have posted in the game folder have way too small of a print for me to read. One more thing - will I be able to re-visit places before final battles. I'd like to head back to the arena eventually and see how much farther I can go. Thanks!

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy

Okay - got through the rabbits. I am now headed toward the capitol and the Wind Crystal, but may have gone somewhere I shouldn't have first. Went to Cornelia to check things out before heading north to the capitol and the crystal shrine - met Siegfried at the bar - says he wants to challenge me when I am alone. How the hell do I dump my other characters so Vahn can face him alone? Also, now when I try to cross back across the bridge to get to the capitol and the crystal - there are a group of soldiers who tell me to go back to Cornelia to hang out because of a political disturbance blocking the way. What do I do next? I've spent three nights already at the Inn. Help.

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy

This is a great game, but geez, it needs a walkthrough. I'm somewhere that I'm not sure I'm supposed to be yet. Went to Hillsdale and beat the desert monster for the armor needed to open the pass. I tried to enter the Hillsdale pass, but cannot - it is a cliff in a cave that I cannot jump to. So, went walkabout - went through the Forgotten Forest and ended up in Organa. Elder will not let me cross the bridge until I find his son. Got a Chocobo, headed up to the Castle Kahlud (sp?), but cannot enter. Went to the northern island, and met a little guy in a cave up there full of rabbits who will give me the key to the castle if I catch 20 of them in 60 seconds. I HATE these kinds of mini-games. I'm NO GOOD at them. I've tried 10 TIMES to catch those damn rabbits and I just cannot do it. Gamebreaker for me, which is a real bummer considering all the time I've put into playing it up until now. Is there any easy way to get past this damned rabbit game, and have I gone too far too soon?

Manifest

Enjoying the game, but am stuck. I'm looking for the last piece of driftwood on the beach, and I can't find it. There is a piece in the trading post where the captain collects Nayrin relics, but I can't get to it because a large skeleton and a map are blocking the way. Is this where the last piece is located, and if so, how do I retrieve it? Thanks.

Got some questions. Where is Elena? Her husband says somewhere on the Eastern Plains and I can't find that area. How do I trigger the Stonehenge-y looking area? A guy in a village in Amordusk is wondering about it, but everytime I go there Tarion just says something about truth, and the obelisk doesn't react. How do I get the dwarves to lower the bridge? I've discovered two different ways to the Lost Temple. One is by boat - and I get to a cliff with harpies - and one is through the cave where the Bloodcrystal is found. What are the advantages of both ways? What are the ultimate weapons and armors for each character? The monsters in the overworld are wayyy tough and don't pay off much in either experience or gold. Can that be balanced a little more. I'm getting ready to try the Dragonborn boss quest. All my peeps are at level 20 except Ryulin (sp?) who is level 17. Will I be strong enough at these levels to defeat the dragon? Loving this game, but a game this long really needs a walkthrough or guide as I'm sure I've done some of the side-quests out of order which might be why I can't trigger others now. Any help is appreciated!
That's a lot of questions. Firstly I will write a walkthrough when I have the time, for now you just have to find things out yourself.
-Find Elena quest is completed while on Stryks personal quest.
-The stonecircle area is connected to Lyrions personal quest, you'll recieve it from his hometown.
-There is one quest involving the dwarves but you cannot actually enter Iron Hangar (not until the sequal at least :) ).
-The only way to the Lost Temple is through the caves, when you've completed the dungeon you can teleport out and in.
-Most of the characters ultimate weapons are found from the skullmarked quests. I wouldn't want to spoil that much, so I won't be writing a full list for all the 11 characters.
-I don't think I'll be touching the exp gains anymore, I know there is a wall at the final chapter before you can touch the skullmarked quests (unless you've wandered a lot). Complete the Lost Temple first, you'll find pretty nice equips there and gain a few levels. Then you should be ready for the skullmarked quests.
-The Ryulins quest is one of the toughest fights in the game, it's possible but not easy at those levels.
-Most of the sidequests are standalone-quests, they shouldn't conflict with each other.

You say there is only one way to the Lost Temple. What about the first way I found via the boat which takes me to the cliff with the harpies? The dialogue clearly states "...take boat to the Lost Temple?...". So I have to have Stryk in the party to find Elena. That quest is marked with a skull. Is it too hard to complete with my character's current level of 20? Where is Lyrion's hometown - I've forgotten? How do I trigger the dwarf quest then? Thanks.

Vagabond

Stuck. Went to the Gorgoral (sp?) swamp, and a character told me about a secret path to the Lonely Forest. Found the secret path into the Lonely Forest and defeated one of the fiends there. Now I cannot get back out of the Lonely Forest and back into the swamp. Help.
