Just a hobbyist that likes to fiddle with rm2k3. Originally started on rm2k waaaaaaay back on Don Miguel's forums/website. My first game was Dawn of the Dragon, which was a very short crappy game that I decided to remake but never got around to finishing.

Rm2k3- Keyinput problem

it's not the maker. It's the rpg_rt.exe. Make a NEW project with a 1.08 version of rpgmaker, then open the new project and copy the RPG_RT.exe file and paste it in your project, overwriting your own.
Chances are, you made your project with an old (1.05) maker and THEN switched to 1.08. You have to manually update the exe like I said.
replacing the RPG_RT.exe helped, it now works. Yea I did start it in an older version and just recently upgraded a couple days ago. Thanks Aten! Wouldn't of thought of that.
Rm2k3- Keyinput problem
Well I switched my keyboards and it still wouldn't work, I tried the other key inputs and they all seem to work fine. It's just that damn shift key! lol.
I will try installing from a different site. Google'd and found one. Any suggestions on a known good download? wouldn't ask by my net limits my bandwidth a month and if I go over they charge me by the mb...it's that or get 56k bleh.

nope, both shift keys work fine. I even tried reinstalling rm2k3, first 1.04 then used the 1.08 patch. didn't work...so i uninstalled and installed using the full 1.08 version, still nothing. I am running Win 7 if that makes a difference.

And the shift key still won't show the animation, but the enter key still does when I change it to that.
Btw, I have no patches or extra installed with rm2k3...just the fresh install of rm2k3 1.08

Rm2k3- Keyinput problem
For some reason I can not for the life of me get the shift key to work, I was following a ABS tutorial and followed the steps to use it as an attack key, but for some reason the shift key will not work at all, I tried it with enter and it seemed to work fine. I am currently running rm2k3 1.08 if that helps at all.

Hi, I am looking for someone to make the following sprites swing a sword as I am implementing a ABS system in my game. I already attempted most of yesterday trying to draw them myself and failed miserably lol.
Here is a example of what i am looking for except with my sprites (minus the battle animation below it) and for Up/Down/Left/Right:

I would gladly give you credit in my game, just leave the ID you want featured in the game if it isn't your forum SN. If you wish to help but only want to do one, I rather have the sprite that is just in armor. Thanks, and I do appreciate any help given, as I know this crap is time consuming.

It's not battle related as I am going for a ABS (Action battle system), it would have to be a common event to work. Meh, I will fiddle with it some more and hopefully I can get it to work. But thanks for your help.
Rm2k3 Help - Scripting Question
What I am trying to accomplish is to have a Blood gauge show on screen and slowly drain over a period time. To refill the gauge, the character has to feed from designated NPC's or blood vials. When the gauge is fully depleted then you start to lose health. I was just wondering if this is possible in rm2k3. I did a search for tutorials on a similar system and only thing I found close was a Hungry people tutorial, which you need to consume an item such as bread or you will lose health. If it's possible, any help in pointing me in the right direction will be appreciated. Thanks.
