RM2K3- Eventing issue

Hmm that might actually work. I was thinking of putting like a sneak/stalk mode in the game anyway. so maybe press a # to go into "sneak/stalk mode" then when you press enter or even the assigned feed button it then initiates. I will try doing that with the above mentioned setup you suggested calunio, if I still have trouble I will post here again. Thank you for the replies.

RM2K3- Eventing issue

Hmm I probably shouldve mentioned that the FEED tech is gonna be assigned to a number key. since powers/items are gonna be assigned different number keys. The power only initiates when you press the assigned number key. I got the system to somewhat work through a message choice, but i wish to make it initiate after pressing the assigned number key and if it's even possible.

is this possible on Rm2K3? I know your limited to like 640x640 for it. I was just wondering if there was another method like this to use on rm2k3

RM2K3- Eventing issue

Alright here's what I am trying to do. I am trying to make it so the hero walks up to a NPC and you press the button and begin to drink blood from them replenishing your blood gauge and then to stop, you press the same button again (it's a vampire game btw lol). But if you wait to long to press the button it will trigger them noticing you and they face you and say a message then walk away.
I am having trouble making this work as I made it in the NPC event itself and so far I was only able to to get it to trigger the animation, but it stops automatically I think I have the loop and conditional branches setup wrong. Or will something like this need to be setup in common events?

If anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it, as I know I can figure the rest out by myself.

Good game dude, what I played shows great promise and I am really looking forward to the final game. It does remind me a lot of zelda and the gameplay and the story of what I seen so far seems very interesting.

jc's anti-hero isn't correct.
A hero typically embodies the moral values of the culture which created it. What separates a hero from an anti-hero is partly method, but mostly motivation. Usually he's doing his own thing which inadvertently thwarts evil-doers, or is forced to thwart them against his will.
Classic example of an anti-hero? Snake Plisken.


I agree snake is awesome lol. But in my defense, yes that can be true to what you said. I mean either way can happen in really making an anti-hero. Isn't the punisher technically one of them? Witnessing the tradegy of his families death he decides to bring criminals to justice, but instead of adopting like say spider-mans or even batmans no kill policy (Tho I am sure they both had to at one point) he just rather get rid of them. Least in the comics/movies i have seen or read. I really think it's a matter of opinion in this matter as that was just my own personal view of a anti-hero. But you do make a good point Dyhalto.

Im not going to point out the obvious, so to make it look more like he is sucking the life out of her, she should be struggling, because, I dont think being bitten in the neck and having blood sucked out is comfortable or orgasmic. A sense of struggle would be good and you should point out that the vampire has the power, I think a good idea would be placing his hand on her neck, pointing out he is holding her to not struggle, she could be weakly punching or something. She looks stiff too, you could make her leaned more.


I see what you mean, but in the game there are humans aligned with the clan he is with who willingly will let him take blood from them. so it is mutual. BUT the original plan is depending on the players alignment whether or not they struggle at all. If the player goes the darker path and kills people, then they will resist and to get a descent amount of blood the player would have to kill them. But if the play takes the lighter path, then they will be more willing and the player will be able to get more blood from them without killing them. Now there are only going to be a few humans like this. They will be others who will still struggle, but again my plan is they will fear him less if the player decides to make him be that way. So a seduction/persuasion system is in order. That and in the areas that this will be possible you still would have to be sneaky and avoid guards catching you. Hopefully I explained it well enough for you to understand.

But thanks for all the suggestions/comments they are very helpful. One of the reasons i released this pic is to get feed back, as I AM NOT a artist and I know there are some talented ones on here and any tips/tricks given to help me improve are welcomed and appreciated :)

When you said feeding, I was pretty confused. I thought they were making out. Were they passing food into each other's mouths or something??

Yea should've been more specific that he was supposed to be biting the neck. But the sprites aren't done. I will probably tweak them some more when i am done with other stuff.

O_o yea I know , the guy is supposed to be biting the girl. it actually doesn't look as bad when it plays in-game lol. But yea I know it does gonna look a bit like kissing. and i used jpg for the screenshot btw :)

I still got to tweak out the bugs, like currently the boss will sometimes freeze when u hit him and a animation won't go off if your defeated. In The final version, the boss will have attacking animations and better attacks and powers.
