Just a hobbyist that likes to fiddle with rm2k3. Originally started on rm2k waaaaaaay back on Don Miguel's forums/website. My first game was Dawn of the Dragon, which was a very short crappy game that I decided to remake but never got around to finishing.

What makes a hero?
One of my favorite types of heroes are the Anti-hero, more like the "bad" guy who goes to the extreme and cross lines normal heroes will not, to bring down the baddies. A hero like this is made, to me anyway, is either a hero or person witnessing/experiencing a tragedy at some point in their life. So decides that enough is enough and turns in a sense evil themselves in order to fight evil with evil. To me anyway lol. As for what makes a hero a hero? A hero to me is someone willing to sacrifice everything, even their own life for the greater good, whether it be to save thousands of people to even just one person, for a true hero, even just one life is even a precious thing to save.
Don't know if this is what you were looking for. But that is just my two cents :)

Demo is Short for Demonstration, People!
I totally agree to this. It seems to me alot of people release different demo versions then concentrating on finishing their game. I can see if they want to release it to have people test it out to work out bugs, but that to me is what beta testers are for. Good article!
rpgmaker.net needs your help!
I donated $5.00, i would donate more but sadly I am a college student with a family :(. But good news I graduate after this semester so hopefully I have more money to help out ^_^. Long Live RMN!

I probably won't change the background. I will play with the text color when I finish my other stuff I am working on. But since the background is moving it actually isn't all that hard to read when your actually in the game.

Yea it is hard for me to pick a good color for that background, but the background fits the mood, music, and setting just the way I like it lol. I will play with the color some more and see what I can do, it is on my list of things to do/fix.

RMN Closing Down April 2nd
After reading this post it really saddens me to hear such a good place to host your games might be closing down. I am fairly still new, but I always check on this site everyday to check on my subscriptions and to see if any comments were made on my game page, even though work has been halted because I'm busy with college and my family. :)
I agree to a point some people here are total assholes, but I choose to ignore them and take this site and the rpg maker tools as they are, a hobby, and way to express myself and share stories I wrote in a visual manner. I know some of you indie devs use it as a way to create games and to add to your portfolio which is fine too, i am sure that is what rpgmaker and the other tools are originally for. But it is more a hobby to me, as i am sure it is for others as well.
Even though some people are total douche-bags and should be kicked off a bridge for not realizing not everyone here is a programmer or is here to try and make the best possible game to make a mark, however small it is in the community. But some are here to submit their ideas/stories and share it with the community. And that some here are still just learning, like I am.
I don't think WIP should close this site down because of the "stench" or whatever negativity he sees and punish the people who bring so much to the community, or take away the opportunity for people like myself to come here try some cool games and even try to learn from the more experienced developers the tricks of the trade, to be able to bring together my own ideas in a enjoyable gaming experience. For anywhere you go, there will be assholes, no matter what you do, whether threaten to close the site, or even close it and make us move somewhere else. They will always be there lurking around the corner ready to strike, why? Because they can be assholes, plain and simple.
But I feel your pain WIP as a former Game Master of a forum rpg I have experienced a similar thing. People were cheating or even causing havoc in the community, even my site being hacked which led me to close it. But after some consideration and thought I realized why should I punish those who enjoy being there to game and have fun. It was a small but close knit group, and after a year or so I had to close it anyway from inactivity, people move on or get to busy, part of getting older sadly :). But the people who I am still friends with still agree to this day it was one of the best things we ever experienced, Mainly because of the people we met, the adventures we had, and more importantly the friendships that were made. And I am proud to be a part of that and have played a part in it.
But in the end it is your site, do with what you will. I hope you decide to keep it open and let the good people who enjoy this community and bring so much to it to stay and continue to make it a great place to search and host games. If not, farewell to everyone I hope to meet ya again at our new home, wherever that may be.
