Games in my possesion not beaten:

Person 2 Eternal Punishment- Bought it even though I didn't have the time to play it. Was casually looking through the shelves of a local game store, saw it, saw I had the money and knew it was rare. Bought it on the spot.
Tactics Ogre Knights of Lodis - Have started like 5 times but still haven't been able to push myself to defeat it.

These 4 I have the PS1 version and waiting until my RPG list gets a bit more clear.
Final Fantasy 1&2 (Origins)
Final Fantasy 3 (SNES)
Final Fantasy 4 (The one with Bartz and Faris...I think its 4 from PS1)

Fire Emblem - The first on GBA. I got up to what I believe was the last map before the last battle. Then my cousin saved over it. That got me so pissed because I had restarted several times before that. Might pick it up again.

Golden Sun 2 - Played up to the 1st dungeon and stopped because not only was I stuck I could not get the Gold Code to work to transfer my stuff over to GS2. Only the bronze one would work.

Xenosaga Episode 1 - got pretty far into it and for some reason stopped playing.

Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga - Got stuck at one of the bosses and dropped it.

Castlevania...ummm..the first one that came out for GBA. Have restarted it several times but never got around to beating it.

Dragon Warrior 3 - Got pretty far and just dropped it. Reason escapes me at the moment.

Two of my RPG Gaming Goals is to beat all the Final Fantasy main series games including the sequels (So far Final Fantasy 10-2 and 13-2) except for the online games. So far...I'm doing terrible.

And also beat all the Dragon Quest main series games. Also doing terrible on this goal.

Oh also have many many games downloaded from this website that I will beat soon. So many games..so little time. :(

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

Currently Playing:

Final Fantasy 13: Defeated it but wanna get max CP for the main roles for my guys before trying my hand again on the real hard marks who have killed me repeatedly. REVENGE!!!!

After FF 13 I'm going to sink my teeth into God of War 3. After that its looking like GTA IV and its 2 episodes.

Legionwood: Tale of Two Swords: Had to drop it for a day or 2 because I was having an issue starting the game. But its working now and gonna start playing again tomorrow.

After I'm done with that I'm gonna start one of the like 10 RPG Maker games I've downloaded but yet started to play. I am gonna have to look them up again. I had in my mind the order but now I've forgotten. I got Legend Of Illarion, Hero Realm, Chrono Alter and a couple of others on that list.

Tactics Ogre Knight of Lodis: I have dropped this for awhile due to juggling too much stuff at the moment. Might pick it up again after I get some of the others out of the way.

Legionwood: Tale Of The Two Swords

Me again. I was trying to play and cannot get past the first screen. It goes black and then kicks me back to my desktop with no error message. I deleted the game (but saved my save file somewhere else) and downloaded again but still getting same issue. I've played this game before on this same computer so I don't know what is going on.

Anything come to mind?

I'm just gonna leave this here without much further comment.

I read the whole article. What I feel like he is saying is he wants the first Zelda with Twilight Princess graphics and little to no storyline.

Maybe a nice middle ground would be Zelda in a sort of sandbox game a la Grand Theft Auto? (But you know, without all the bank robberies, drive bys and what not).

I do agree though the Zelda games starting with OOT have alot of handholding.

And I don't understand why he complains about fetch quests. Wasn't there one just to get the Master Sword upgraded or something like that? Sorry, but it has been a couple of years since I have played that game.

Fetch quests have always been part of Zelda games and the RPG genre in general. I think he is upset because that is really the only "Sidequest" available in most Zelda games. Maybe they should add more sidequests to the Zelda games which expand and go in depth to the lore of the Triforce and Hyrule. Don't know if this has already been done in the latest entries since the last one I've played is Oracle of Seasons.

I have only played OOT, LTTP, LA and The Oracle of Seasons from beginning to end. Eventually will play Twilight Princess and if I ever find a job get the money to buy and play Wind Waker and Skyward Sword. Always have loved though the whole world of Hryule and its storyline.

Legionwood: Tale Of The Two Swords

Hey,

First I just wanna say I like the game and going to play it to the end. Also like the AP System you implemented. Real unique.

Right now I'm up to Hawkshire. Haven't gone yet to the marketplace/Castle, just finished exploring the first part of town and upgrading the equipment/Techs. However, there are some things I want to bring light. Sorry if any of this has already been mentioned.

Suggestions:

Have a menu which shows the Summons stats and Techs similar to the character submenu and Tech submenu respectively.

Tighten up the script if possible. There is alot being "said", however it does not enhance the storyline whatsoever. It just makes the game, specifically the cutscenes seem longer but add no value to it.

Issues:

1) When I use the Study Enemies Tech more than once in the same battle on the same enemy it shows the animation but does not show the info. I really only use it against bosses or mini-bosses. The first time to see their weaknessess and again during the battle to check their current HP. Maybe you can add the HP next to their name after using the spell the first time.

2) The Piruette Tech has the following description: "A physical strike which damages two random foes".

However, what it does instead is some moderate damage and cast Stun on the enemy. I've tried it several times. It is first available in Hawkshire and had everyone except Thrrya learn it. Kinda feel robbed that it does not do what its supposed to.

Question:

1) What does the Red Collar do exactly? Description says: "Critical Hit Guard"
Does it increase the chance of getting a critical hit or prevent the enemy from landing a Critical Hit Debuff?

2) Also do buffs like Sharpen or Speed Up stack or not? I ask because when I cast a second buff the symbol changes so I don't know whether it is to inform me what is the last buff cast or if that is the only buff on the character.

3) Another buff related question. Don't know if it is just me, but are the buffs supposed to last so short? I feel like they last 4 rounds at most which is not real long. Just IMO.

Anyway, keep up the good work!

Chrono Alter

Hey,

Great game and can't wait for the sequel.

I don't know if you are still updating this one but I found a major glitch in it.

The scene where you get the boat is repeatable. However, when you do it again you end up with the team of Crono, Lucca, Robo and Ayla. Your able to access the menu and do whatever you want. But when you exit the menu you get a black screen. I exited the game and tried from my last save but I'm sent back to the black screen and same menu.

I'm gonna have to start over unless a patch is done for this.

Hope this helps.

Hello Everyone

Hey everyone,

I've decided to make my own game and thought what better genre than the one I love the most. RPGS!!! Anyway some background.

I am starting college soon and majoring in Computer Programming and felt this would help me since more of the complicated things to do in RPG Maker require some type of programming and I am leaning towards Game Programming as my niche.

I know some basic Java (emphasis on basic). Also I consider myself a bit of a grammar police (My head explodes when I see too many grammar mistakes in video games. I can stand some in a free game but in a commercial game...not so much.)

I'll be around asking questions and maybe even answering some if I feel confident. I might also volunteer to join some projects just to get the feel of working on a team for a video game. Although right now I can only really offer my services as a storyline editor since I don't know much else.
