Rise Jesus Christ RPG
Are there different endings?
Like, instead of slowly walking with the cross under the insults of everybody, we could do a miracle: lifting the cross with one hand, regenerating from our wounds and shoot Dohvakin style "I'm the goddamn son of yahve! Repent while you're being judged, bitches!!".
Seriously, this sole (and easy) miracle would have convinced both jews and romans they were mistaken, setting them on the right path to enlightment. Such a pity most of jesus' miracles were made without numberously hostile witnesses...
Do we play as gesmas, too?
I find him quite badass, spiting on god despite pain and death.
For me, he's clearly stating that all of his predicaments are the setup of god, piping dices far before any mortal's birth, all for his godly plan. Not the results of his past choices, dicted mostly by poverty and survival.
BTW, i'm not sure the middle-east was that much of a desert 2 000 years ago. To be the birthplace of so many religions, it must have been quite flourishing back then.
On the gameplay side, judas seems a lot more efficient than jesus in battle. The "exorcise" talent is really useless compared to "roman rush".
I also find strange jesus saves people by murdering them. A visual novel approach would have better suited the theme, à la phoenix wright for instance.
PS: You should also take into account the latest discoveries in christian exegese. Like judas, the most faithful of all, being ordered by jesus to betray him, so he could fulfil his destiny. Or Simon refusing non-jew in his newly-found religion.

Nice use of Unity!
With little props and little gameplay, you managed to pull an visually interesting game, with its own atmosphere.
But I'm still puzzled about the message...
Played it three times, with different choices, but got roughtly the same answers. Which makes it a little too one-wayish. It's like talking to a wall: a fruitless waste of time. Is that the morale of the story? Human relations are a waste?
I also feel the ending lacks of something. Staring at a dialog box or ending up in nothingness... I'm not sure about what I did or what I gained.

not sure about a lantern event. I am saying in the beginning when you are in the cave and you go to sleep you wake up and it constantly loops and the game doesnt continue.
Yep! That's it.
There's a lantern next to it. Using the lantern means shut it off, and going to sleep. It was a fix for the lack of a "Quit game" option.
Alas, I realized later that, when I open the savescreen, it saves right inside the current event being played. Loading this gamesave makes RM loading the same event, at the same exact position in the event page. Since this event goes eventually back to the title-screen, it creates a gamesave that loops again and again to the title-screen.
Funny thing, when I test it in the editor player, the gamesave works ok if I close the game test windows, then launch a new test session. That's why I didn't notice it the first times, all was working as intended in the game-test feature.
The only way I found to circumvent it was to disable the autosave feature when exiting the game. Not really a good thing to do, user-friendly wise. But still better than breaking a gamesave.

The lantern bug?
Fixed it in the 1.1.3 version. The way VX handles saving process (save the point in the event the save is made) seems different the way XP does (save only the current map and switches).
Just don't use that feature in the 1.1.2. :p
I hoped it would go unnoticed, since the possibility to quit the game with the lantern wasn't documented ingame.

Hi! I played through for a while but my game crashed after the end of the boulder sequence - it said I was missing an audio file (this was the English version, if it matters).
So far I've really been enjoying it! The boulder sequence surprised me the first time and killed me immediately, but otherwise I like the management of time and money over the course of the game.
Missing audio file?
Fluck! I'll look at it right away (meaning this weekend, time is relative and such).
Thanks for your time, I'm happy to hear to enjoyed so far.
And yes, nobody expects the Spanish Boulderition!!!! *0*
EDIT:
Missing audio file corrected. Zip file updated.

This project is currently achieved at 70%.
I expect to release a french version in the coming month. After several bug corrections and other tweakings, I will release a final "international" (full of engrish probably) version, which will be available here.
Probably April 2013. :p

Savior - Will you save the world?

For some reason, my attack went to 1, the god killer skill doesn't work anymore, and I think it's keeping me from advancing in the game.
I find your lack of force... disturbing... :vader
I can't see where or when I could have set a change in player stats...
I even calibrated the battles so you could kill both NPC with common attacks. But, of course, with ATK set on 1...
Did you unequip your sword?..
Worst case scenario, you could still begin a new game again, with a different order in cycles.
Or use the walkthrough (in game directory or click on the pictures on this very page) to find the only way to save this world.
Believe me. Either way, you won't loose that much. :p

Ouatte ze feuque?!?
Wow.
If someone have told me I could be featured in a RPS article, I wouldn't have believed him (and probably trolled him plenty). That explains why my download counter jumped to 200 in a night.
That's nice, but I feel quite spoilt.
There are lots of other projects, far for more interesting and worthy of that kind of honor, than a small rushed project like this one.
At least, it will bring more audience to RMN. :)
