Thinking of making a pixel-art GFX pack to sell in the style of Tristian. Should I do it?

If it's an overlay of the RTP like the stuff in Tristian then I'd say probably not. If you're selling something you'll want to go 100% unique.

Oooh, good point! I hadn't even thought of that! Going 100% unique would def sell better ^_^
Yeah, RTP isn't for distribution and iirc you're not allow to sell assets made using it as a base, so that'd be a no. If you can create your own style, though, sure. You've grown a lot and taking that step into fully custom will help you grow much more. ^.^
Ah, that makes sense. Luchi's pixel art is so pretty that I forget sometimes that it is RTP-based. XD But going full-custom isn't extremely hard. It just takes some practice and hard work (Not that my custom stuff is particularly great; I still have a lot of learning to do ^^;;)
Yeah, it'll definitely be all custom, so I'd have to work on my trees and water-tiles mostly ( they're the hardest to pull off ). Maybe I'll try my hand at sci-fi stuff as well ( there's a sore lack of resources that remind me of Phantasy Star ;_; ).
phantasy star is fairly fantasy so you could easily do a mix of both. i fully support and would buy a set that would let me remake ps4 (hypothetically, i wouldn't actually do that. unlike Lys.)

I'll pay more for variety! And mixing or at least having the option of both Fantasy and Sci-Fi is a good idea because you can always mix the two into something nice.

Actually, that's a viable sale plan - release a small few for free and then people will think "Well, I need the rest because of style clash and there's so much variety I might as well anyway and besides, the creator gave us free stuff! She must be cool, let's support her!"
