Seems like it's supposed to be like that....Blind. =P

We've had this discussion with Sano before. Obviously his defense is that everything is large for a purpose, but come on now. One problem I see with the map is the white borders you seem to be using for the black areas. They would fit in much better if they were a dark gray. Right now they look like they're floating above the rest of the map. And the character set is too small. How many times have I said this, Sano? :(

That being said, this would look really nice once you fix up some of the issues.
Edit: Okay that's the problem with the walls. Everything looks blurred/anti-aliased while the white borders have a solid look to them.


I know but...I'm not sure what to do about that it would be too much to learn to code and I have tried XP and VX and neither work for me...so with that said this WILL be in rm2k3 I am aware of the issues some may have with this fact but I don't know what to do about it...please just accept it for what it is, that is all I can ask. Wether you choose to or not is up to you guys.

Ok thanks, I actually tried VX recently and I didn't see anything on there....I mean if the res on VX is 640X480 and the basic tile is 20X17 or w/e my 640X480 size panorama was never deisplayed when I tried to attack it to the map editor. I suppose I could try your suggestion for Xp though.

@Xeno: I'll be sure to make a ved in due time to show how the character moves.

@Karsuman: The problem with XP and VX is that when you set something as a Panorama the editor does not display it so you guessing where events should go making it impossible.

@Brandon: Don't worry about it man, its fine and thanks for the suggestion. The problem with VX and XP I stated in my above reply if anyone knows a way around this issue I would really like to know.

Sanosuke, making a CBS in RM2K3 is probably 50x harder than what brandon is suggesting! Notice the lack of complete RM games with a CBS? It's because they're extremely difficult....extremely. I don't think you need to go to the stretch of pixel based movement like brandon said, though. Stick with whatever maker you choose, just make sure the movement is done at least in a decent way.

That being said, this is why I know the game is in the beginning stages. It's not an issue really, but if you're looking at the long term of this, it could be an issue.
Don't hesitate to drop the CBS if you don't need it.


LOPS had a CBS right? It didn't see over the top complicated. I know it will require a ton of effort and time but it can work right? It is just that I have never thought them to be as hard as your making it sound which is why I'm a little scared and confused about it. I think I'll try a prototype CBS to get an idea first.

@Rosesky: Well those are what I have found to work best but realizing this issue I have requested help from a pixel artist on the website and in my advert topics. If I don't get any offers I can't do much about it :(

@Nightblade: I have probably clocked in weeks into this already granted gameplay wise I am in the starting stages but this is a teaser I'm not advertising this for an upcomming demo or anything.
