I've always stayed cleared from these types of games. I have nothing againist WoW, but it is just not my thing.

Short Games

You should try making something that isn't an RPG for starters. Try making a short mini-game like fishing, card game, whatever, if you want something short. RPG's shouldn't really be short, but you could always do a mini-arena and have the player pick classes and just fight monsters in a short game.

Another good thing about RM cutscenes would be if you guys placed a option to skip some of them. I know I have this feature, as most of my friends are getting annoyed about my 10 minute cutscenes.
