Salutations!

that's what I was saying

also hi

Salutations!

how did this get so big

RPG Maker Chatroom (no download!)

a topic for things that really you had to be there for

I tried getting into irc but the scene there is weird and insular and I got tired of being typecast because of a bad first impression so I bailed. there's a few really cool people there (sup gourd, aqua, emir, ym, thirdmuse) but all the weird politics and power struggles some other people got up to were super unpleasant and I got better things to do than put up with that

damn shame!

e: I keep remembering other people who were neat and editing them in as if it matters hahaha

some hear and see him whom he heareth nor seeth not

but fields have eyes and woods have ears, ye wot
and also on my maids he is ever tooting.
can ye judge a man, (quoth I), by his looking?
what, a cat may look on a king, ye know!

I am dead to this community... or something like that.

from king street to eglington, we don't run

'cause when you got a mawk, there's no need for a gun

I am dead to this community... or something like that.

yessss my mic works

TDS I'll read that the next time things are quiet! I'd do it now but it'd be all bee noises and piano sounds atm

(I am in the midst of a bee jazz party)

RPG Maker Web is essentially every RPG Maker forum, with support for commercial projects. Why are people scared of it?

this place ain't innocent, but it manages to keep that sort of thing pretty well away from the actual game development side of the forum. so far, at least.

e: and also it's completely fair to ask for donations to keep the server running. you don't have a megacorporation behind you to fund things like RMW does.

RPG Maker Web is essentially every RPG Maker forum, with support for commercial projects. Why are people scared of it?

my big beef with RMW is just that it's as much a marketing scheme as it is a support forum. the people running the place have every incentive to move product, so the site is organized around getting people to buy the makers and the resource packs and so on and etc. it doesn't really sit well with me.

there's also the fact that as a result of this they don't allow people to post any games not made in engines they sell, which is just kind of inconvenient if you're like me and like to work in a lot of engines depending on how you feel.
