if you'd like a small guide on how to set up looping metadata for an rpg maker game, this came up from a quick search and seems pretty well-done.

I'm not going to get into my circumstances because, frankly, I don't trust you not to use them as ammunition at this point?
but using 'seek behavioural therapy' as some kind of trump card in an argument that didn't even need to happen is extraordinarily insensitive. don't pretend that it's something you're suggesting in good faith, either -- if you had genuine concerns about my mental health and didn't just want to gain ground in an argument through the most invasive means possible, you would have contacted me in private.
I've made fun of a lot of people here for using predictable tactics and getting caught up in bullshit, but this is the first time in a while I've actually been disgusted with the person I'm arguing with.

I think that, similarly, 'mawk, you're being kind of a jerk right now' would have been more effective than a patronizing and hilariously pseudoscientific post telling me to seek therapy.

the way actual arguments get swept into this aggressive have-to-prove-we-don't-actually-care-by-laughing zone is one of the really frustrating things about this place, and it actually makes these situations way nastier and more drawn-out than they would be otherwise

it's literally over already and has been for pages, I'm just razzing people for being useless and unfunny in the aftermath and in doing so dragging it out way farther than it deserves

the next time someone asks if rmmv will be able to import rmvxa projects i'll freak out
I mean, I can understand somebody being hopeful for that sort of thing, especially if they're not super familiar with rpg maker in general. you put a lot of work into something in one tool, you hear about a hot new tool on its way, you start looking for some way to make both facts work together nicely. I don't mind that the information's gonna take a while to get around.
