Sooz is helping me with the character art, writing, and cutting down the insane original 30 character playable cast down to eight, and JosephSeraph is helping me with the graphics <3 Here's Ceaira, probably the most important character to the plot.



Right now everything is in the planning/resource making phase. I won't begin in earnest until after Weird and Unfortunate is complete ^_^

My goodness, how many projects are you working on at once? And more importantly, how do you manage to actually successfully finish them?

But in all seriousness, I'm trying to limit it to one full-time project and do the planning for the next game at the same time. Near the end of Luxaren Allure, I was doing a lot of planning for Weird and Unfortunate, for example ^_^

Thanks everyone! ^_^

This project is a bit special to me, as I started it as a teen and worked on it for several years, but all that came of it is a way too big 40 hour RPG Maker 2000 game that is still missing half the story (the other 40 hours). The name "Elemental Clash" no longer suits the game (originally, there were nine characters, each with a different element, who each went on their own adventures and built their own parties that all joined together), so for now I'm calling the project "Eye of Uzola."

The big struggles for me are A) getting the core essentials of the story into a tight, much smaller package, and B) fitting the characters in this new, more condensed narritive. We've already shaved the 30 playable characters down to eight, and are still working to make it all fit in the story.

As someone who's spent the last 15 years tinkering with a "dream project" I can respect the struggles and hopes involved in doing something like this and making it feasible.

Yeah, I can totally understand. It's actually been really hard to take the hacksaw to the original idea to make a reasonably sized game. I've had to tell myself "Don't weep for the cut characters and storylines. If this game goes well, then you can make sequels with those characters and events" ^_^;

Hey, that's a good way to look at it! Spinoffs and supplements are a good way to go
o, especially if people attach themselves to secondary characters rather then the mains will always be pleased.

The hardest part is not eye rolling and shaking your head at your old ideas! :P
