WALLDEAF'S PROFILE

Hi,

I am Marc, 47, a father of a beautiful daughter of 10, that loves playing RPG's.
My inspiration comes from the final fantasy series, but also legend of legaia, legend of dragoon, and many many more.
In my free time I make games, like RPG's. It's what I love the most.
Might not be the best creator, but I do put a lot of effort in it.

Zack's Ultimate RPG Lite

This game is a fantastic RPG for your first game.

At the start I had to get used to it, but I really liked it.
It's not in a style I make the games,
but I'm open minded, and got rewarded for it !!
I did have some trouble at the beginning of the game.
The enemies are not that easy at the start, so I was happy to grind a little bit.

The minor and the major:

The battle system is very original to me.
Haven't played a style like that before.
The story I liked too, but what was with that woman in the woods?
I found her and then something unexpected happen. Ace FTW? haha.
Also liked the part with "Charity".
The mapping is okay. Used all of the oringinal RTP tiles.
The NPC's were funny at times. Nice sense of humor.

It was a short but good RPG.

Both thumps up!!

The only lesser good thing was the balancing in the game.
I found it quite to be hard at times, and even died a few times.
I wanted to write a review, but it requires 300 words.
I'm not that good with words.

But to finish things off, great game, loved it, peace !

I downloaded patch and replaced those files. It worked.
I first had trouble with the archive. winrar wouldn't let me extract it. Then used 7zip and worked fine.

So I can assume U completed the game then?
Hope U liked it :)

A Thief's Voyage

@Superes and @mik555888,

On my playthrough it worked perfectly, but I'll double check it.
Thanks for the feedback.

Edit: The event is set up correctly.
I hate to ask, but maybe there was too much clutter in the cashee, due to the many events running at the same time.
Was the dungeon after the ladder your final one? 14/14?
That event is also set to run to complete if it is true.
Maybe it's set wrongly, if it is false, the screen freezes...

going to recheck this.

Indeed I found the problem, it autorun the commen event, that freezes up the game.
I'll upload a patch to fix this.

Hello Walldeaf,

You made an excellent work, and I ended at level 22+ after 11h30 of happy gaming. I'm amazed you did so much (wonderful story, scripting and graphics) in only 5 months!
Thanks you for the good time your gave me, I'm looking for your next delivery: october maybe? (give him an inch and he'll take a mile!)

Old Timer (70-y old, Mimella, but some training!)

Very happy to read you enjoyed the game so much.
It was a lot of work, but with a lot of love.

A Thief's Voyage

I deleted 2 scripts and removed the end battle voices.
Seemed that they were conflicting with the end battle scene of the EXP.
Finished the game, did everything, and it only crashed once.
At that time I removed the "Save" option on the Worldmap.
This seemed to help alot.
No crashes anymore.

After Warren attacked, he gained an extra attack.
Keeps the flow in the battle.

Since my playthrough began yesterday and I experimented a bit, I think I know how to reduce the probability of the game crashing on the world map.

According to my observations, the game tends to crash after bonus stat events on the world map when the player afterwards opens the menu (and saves the game) and then leaves the menu. That means: If you as the player get a bonus stat event after a battle, fight another battle (without subsequent bonus stat event) before you open the menu (and save the game).

Unfortunately, the game also crashes often directly after battles (more inside dungeons than outside). It seems there are script issues at work that have already plagued developers and players for years; neither are they the developer's fault, nor will he be able to fix them. Thus, save the game regularly (but not after bonus stat events) in order to not lose progress.

Thank you for your kind words.
I do understand that it takes away the flow, maybe there are to many events running parrallel to eachother.
Maybe I should try to activate them on a switch and use a common event.

A Thief's Voyage

Thank you for your nice feedback. Nice to read your enjoyed the game.

I am uncertain why that happens at the worldmap :(

Спасибо за хороший отзыв. Приятно читать, игра вам понравилась.
Я не уверен, почему это происходит на карте мира :(
