LEGAL NOTICES

Proper credit is given for each and every plugin and website, and I did not list any plugin that was forbidden to be listed by their authors. I checked the terms of each website accordingly. You should ALWAYS give credit to the author of any content you use that was not made by you. This is not only the right and polite thing to do, but not doing so is a legal issue and may cause you to be sued for improper use of their intellectual property. This guide aims to answer the questions of new RPG Maker users who see a pretty screenshot with things like glow, clouds, and parallax and think "How the heck am I supposed to be able to do THAT?!" This plugin list will point you in the right direction of plugins that will help achieve this goal.

RPG Maker MZ, RPG Maker MV, RPG Maker VX/VX Ace, RPG Maker 2000, RPG Maker XP, RPG Maker 2003, and the RTPs (Run-Time Packages) all belong to Kadokawa and DEGICA.

You must own a legal copy of an RPG Maker to use the assets it contains. (For example, if you want to use VX Ace materials in an MZ project, you would need to own a legal copy of both RPG Maker MZ and RPG Maker VX Ace.) "Ripping" from a game is illegal and can result in being sued, jail time, or worse. If you see an asset that has been ripped, please contact the original author and report it as soon as possible.

Be VERY, VERY CAREFUL when using things from Charas, as finding and having to report a rip is not uncommon here. Only use original content and nothing that is a rip. Stuff on this site is primarily useful for older RPG Makers such as RPG Maker 2003 because the graphics match the makers used.
