Description
Halloween is here once more and it's time to make a game in a month!
Ever read a story that started out all happy and cute and sweet and then something happens that just twists it into the horror territory abruptly? Say, oh, a young, innocent girl makes friends with a fluffy magical creature who gives her magical powers but she slowly dies every time she uses them? Or, hey, best friends go on a picnic together, only for one of them to kill the other in a jealous rage over a boy?
Cute stuff can turn creepy very fast, and that's what the aim of this Halloween event is this year! Creating a cinnamon sweet premise with a terrible twist ending!
Let's go kill some cuties!
- You have one month to make the game, starting from 12:01am 1st of October until 12:01am 2nd November.
- Games must have a game page! Please make sure to have them done a week before the end date!
- Games must abide by the rules of the site.
- There must be at least 10 minutes of gameplay!
- Any resources and engine are fine. (May I point you towards the RMN Music Packs 1 and 2 for free to use music?)
- Resources cannot be made for this event until it starts.
- Create a game page for your game before the 26th.
- Upload your game to the page when it is accepted.
- Come to this page, click Submit in the heading and choose the download.

I am entering a contest offsite, but luckily it fits this idea so perfectly I'm going to add the game to this event too!

After Sophie sees her cat going through her mirror, she follows it and arrives in her bedroom. However, she understands she is in a parallel universe as she discovers a beaten Damien who starts having an anxiety attack when he sees her.
(P.S: The voice clip for the anxiety attack was made by yours truly.)
Sophie manages to return to the real world and asks the real Damien to come with her. The game would be a RPG, but with not too many battles.
Sophie and Damien return to the parallel world. They find a whip and a sword to defend themselves.
The sis and bro explore an abandoned village... that I'm currently mapping.

Honestly, I didn't think the start of college would be so tiring... I hope I am going to upload something, although seeing how things are going, I am not sure it's gonna happen :(

Life has slammed on the brakes, so I'm going more or less ham on this project. I've submitted my game page for acceptance and plan on cranking yet another RTP game out in a matter of days.

I've decided to scrap my original project for now (didn't really have much time to work on it anyway) and started an entirely new one. If I finish it quickly enough, I might make a shorter version of the first one and submit it too.

After stumbling all over myself at the start trying to figure out the best way to realize my little village - in different editors and different states of mind, very nearly killing the project - I'm at last done with my story. I know I've still got a ways to go until the deadline, but I can't really add anything more to what I've got and still keep it concise. Now we wait.

i would have liked to participate but i am not in the right headspace to do anything creative lately =/ and now it's too late to make something worth a gamepage in five days since i don't really want to go at a breakneck crazepace
also i feel while not quite so dramatic, a lot of my work falls into this category lol
