Description
Brave hero! You've slain dragons, defeated evil overlords, but you are about to take on your greatest challenge yet. The journey... of self-discovery.
Let's celebrate Pride month with a celebration of Queer Awakenings! You can use that theme however you wish, but positive interpretations are encouraged. It can be a cute story about a girl figuring out she likes other girls, the story of your own realization you were queer, or even literally just a gay hero who awakens from a thousand year slumber. Go wild.
RULES
- Your game must be started and made entirely within the event timeframe. (Check DETAILS ->)
As of today (24th June) the deadline has been updated to July 5th instead of June 30th!
- Games must be at least 10 minutes long.
- You may GATHER resources before that date and make notes about the game, but don't actually start creating any kind of in-engine content before the official start.
- Games must be positive in nature, especially in regards to LGBT+ themes, and should handle with care the topics you choose to represent. Hate speech is explicitly not allowed and this includes things like killing or flinging insulting remarks towards other groups.
- Games must feature LGBTQ+ themes or characters prevalently. Don't throw a token queer character in the background and call it a day!
- Games must have an approved game page.
- Any engine, any resources.

CloseThe event seems to have been extended for another 5 days, which is good news. But it seems that it still cannot be completed, after all, my two games have not been completed in the last event. (The time of these two recent events seems a bit tight, I don’t know why)
I won't be able to make anything for this event, but I'll be looking forward to what everyone else makes

I'm enjoying these since it actually makes me publish something, even if it's not as polished as my mind would like it to be haha! Definitely have something in the works but I won't guarantee it'll be mindblowing (this is like my 3rd ever time making anything in rpgmaker but first time posting it probably).

My team's game ended up a bit smaller than we planned but it'll definitely be done at least! Working on final touch-ups, hopefully it'll make it to the uploaded version :>

Submitted ours as well! Ended up being a glorified walking simulator but a game nonetheless. It was a fun event!

I quite liked the time with your game! I just think like this idea for your plot would be better executed if there was more time for game development.
Also, you've done nice job with most of battles and bosses. I didn't include my final thoughts about them because it would be hard to point best parts without spoilers. So I shortcuted my thoughts into "On the plus side, I also rate the frequent changes in the team, which forces us to change our strategy in key battles." That's why last battle seems out of place compared to them - it lacks the same fun challenge I had with other battles.
In the end, that decision of not-spoilering-too-much made feedback for "Wakenights" felt more harsh than it should be. (；´∀｀)"
Aww, thank you! I appreciate the clarification! I'm thinking about touching the game up in the future so hopefully that will give the plot a bit more breathing room :)

Are you for real? You're making a game specifically about homosexuality. I find that strange because people who are homosexuals shouldn't think self discovery is a game.

i happen to be gay...but the tqa+ have taken away all the things that once represented lgb people within the past 10 years to twist and use to their own ends...
i am gay but i am not lgbtqa+.
i don't and won't support anything the tqa+ is involved in. not as long as they target children with the intent to do psychological and physical harm to them.

hello, weaponized speech aka "hate speech". any time that term appears in rules for anything, any and everyone who voice dissenting opinions as i just did are at risk of ban.
which is the explicit intent behind that term because hate speech is literally anything those who support the rule disapprove of.
that has been the case all across the internet where that term has been used with little to no exceptions.
i am gay but i am not lgbtqa+.
i don't and won't support anything the tqa+ is involved in. not as long as they target children with the intent to do psychological and physical harm to them.
