I watched Season 3 recently and some of the jokes still made me laugh, the writing has definitely aged well thanks to their subtext. I think the guy in the video didn't really explain why the jokes land as well as they did though. The plot structures I think are also equally important. Would have liked to see more side by side comparisons and better analysis but Simpsons becoming the culture is very apt.
Being born in '91 I never saw Simpsons as counter culture and really a reflection of the American family and American comedy being really centered around really dumb male protagonists with a bit of heart and never changing. Which proves the video author's point I guess. Regardless, old Simpsons is def worth a rewatch.

I still watch it now and again. The show was easily the best TV show ever made. I am not being hyperbolic.

Ever played 7 Days To Die? I did... for 14 hours today... and it was awesome! Having someone else to play with makes all the difference in the world.
