Gam mak is in fact local slang for "game make".

Not sure. I think someone wrote it wrong and it was adopted as a running joke that just became 'a thing'.
What I am thinking about now? How much I hate YT and Google. Fucking hell! I've over 400 videos, a lot of them almost an hour long, and suddenly I'm not allowed to upload anything over 10 minutes because I don't have a mobile to 'verify' my already (years ago) verified account! Ugh!

I even stayed up late waiting for the video to upload and they only tell me this shit after over 2 hours of it loading. UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH!!!

Something about hot chocolate and popcorn, but the MP3 can't be quoted without the entire quote messing up.

I think it was NewBlack who coined the term. (Link) This is the oldest example I could find of him using it, but I'm not sure if it was the first.
Edit: If it wasn't NewBlack who first came up with the term, at the very least I'm sure it was him who made it popular ever since then. =P

Max & Infection, I agree it probably is older, but this is currently the earliest found, and I do like NB's comment.
Though a quick google found makgam.com, which was registered in May 2010. So we may have co-opted it from elsewhere.
