WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

I think two guys against the world would make for a great game, if only because it shouldn't matter what the gender of the gay person/couple is because they're more than that. By saying "I'd play a lesbian game", it really sounds like your fetishizing being gay because you like the idea of two women tongue kissing each other while bumpin' uglies in bed. They're the ones in love, you're just a spectator.

Who cares if it's a "sausage fest", it's beautiful either way.
Even if they don't "bump uglies" in a game, in my imagination they will. I wouldn't watch gay porn no matter how great the persons involved are. I'm pretty sure most people think that way, judging by the popularity of anime amongst males of a certain type.

Do you apply the same idea to any other relationship in a game? Like, if there's a hetero couple do you only imagine them doing mattress aerobics the whole time? Does this occur irl, too? Because I can only imagine that being incredibly inconvenient and confusing, especially when around your grandparents or parents or other family or anyone else in your life who is a couple.

TLDR: Not everything involving gays and lesbians is sexy & exciting. This may surprise you, but the life of a homosexual is about as boring as everyone else's.

Anywho, I've had Gone Home in my library for like, umpteen years... and I still have Dear Esther before that... I need a summer vacation to play all these games. I wonder if you can take a leave of absence from work to catch up on your game & movie backlog.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Do people in relationships not just spend 95% of their time using their paunches to wax each-other at the devil's behest?
lol All I see is people stating a preference in the kind of media they'd consume. They probably could have worded their ideas a bit better (and you could use trying to interpret them less literally), but I assure you that's all that it is... Why this willingness to assume the worst out of others over what it's essentially a difference of opinion? I will never get that.

"WAX YOUR PAUNCH AT MY BEHEST" - the devil, 2016

Nah, sex can get as old and boring as anything else after awhile. Sometimes you'd rather just, like, go see a good movie.

This is a prime example of homophobia. A person who can't stand anything related to homosexuals and their culture out of fear of being mistaken for gay.

I don't think it's that simple - in many cultures, being gay is not just frowned upon, it's vilified.

I'd hate for my parents to think I'm gay because it'd be alot more than just a joke to them - they'd probs disown me or something.
I'm actually genuinely curious, though, SnowOwl. Do you actually think of the whole bumping-uglies thing only when it's a non-hetero relationship or does that also apply to hetero ones as well? And does it apply in real life or is it only in certain types of media?

This is interesting to me - not sure why, but it is.

On topic, Luxaren Allure is a very good, non-explicit game with lesbian romance.

It wouldn't be that strange to only be reminded of the physical parts of a relationship when those physical parts are of an unusual type, and not when they're of a type you take for granted. In fact, it would be strange not to feel that way.

People typically have a similar reaction to, for example, a story about characters in a sado-masochist relationship, even though pretty much no one is "afraid" of them. They start thinking about the physical part of the relationship even if no physical part of the relationship is ever explicitly described in the story. It's not a negative reaction, it's just a matter of noticing different things.

If you then have a negative reaction to the thing you noticed, that's a separate issue.

Sure, I imagine most people nekkid. That doesn't mean I get a boner or even react in any way though.
There, wasn't that a fun answer?
I liked your previous answer more.
I do admit it would have been very flame-inviting.

There is that awkward moment every now and then, then you just move on with your life. For me, anyway.

Yeah I kinda figured I'd be boring for once.

I didn't ask about boner status, or the nekkids (that's a different thing than seeing people having sex in your mind), just whether you imagined them bonking. XD

It's an interesting kind of weird. Personally I don't think of people having sex unless it's brought up by something, even when there's couples basically snuggling right in my face - no matter the media/irl - so I find it a bit odd. Interesting, though.

Also, why aren't I asleep? I should be asleep. >.<;
I guess it does happen. Like LockeZ said, it happens more often when it's a unusual couple. If I were in my teens I would probably get more excited by two heteros than now though. Even if I imagine them bonking, it's just kinda meh. It's weird that I still even imagine it. Guess it's my reptile brain or something.

If it's a great game I can ignore the bonking of 2 male parts. But it's usually handled like shit. Most games with gays in them that I know of have the gay thing as the focus, and it's very much sexual, even if there's no bonking on-screen.
That's just the way it is with most games and non-normal couples.

Maybe I'm wrong, cuz I don't really play alot of games anyway.

Haha, it's definitely true that most of the "non-traditional" relationships are handled poorly in most media. It's nearly always about the sex, which is so often only a small part of relationships. I imagine this is a mix of lazy writing and - maybe - assuming the audience won't get anything more complex.

Hell, most relationships are treated this way - we're so often raised to think that sex is end-all be-all of human existence. It's a shame that movies and shows so often end right when a relationship starts, after the couple has had sex, or something like that. I wanna see more stuff about people who have been dating for years and years! How is that supposed to work, anyway?

(All this said, I've seen more and more improvements in this recently, so either I've gotten better taste or people have started writing better stuff! I like it, anyway.)

Welp, I was at work the other day, and these two interracial dudes, were looking for a hot tub together.

My imagination started simulating mattress aerobics

that's why there is a push to normalize it; that way homo-relationships can be viewed as mundane and boring and unfulfulling as hetero-relationships.
