I am sure we are not 60 yet and sitting in a retirement home complaining.

This is like politics.
People throwing opinions, valuable time and resources are wasted, nothing gets done and everybody loses.
But I guess you gotta chime in once in a while for at least some satisfying lulz.

With that, I can safely grab my old man's cane and look at the kids on my lawn. Figuratively speaking.


If anyone says their work is totally free of any pandering, I will raise my eyebrow.
If anyone says their work is totally free of any tropes, I will raise my second eyebrow.
If anyone says their work is better than 99% of anything out there, I will just facepalm.

You either want DEM DOLLAS and you crank up that factor sky high and throw in some sweet, sweet controversy to mix it up...
OR
...you just work on something in peace uninfluenced by crap while knowing you have near zero chances of hitting it big.

If you are sticking to morals or your standards then that is great! Although people will continue to simply like what their brain tells them to.

What you CAN do is to actually WORK on your damn project and translate your views there instead of wasting creative time by throwing it in the vast void of Interenet discussion where everybody loses and no one is ever satisfied.

Not supporting what you believe is wrong. You are just a grain in the sand compared to legions of drooling people but hey, YOU do not have to be a sheep! Maybe in time it will collapse under its own arrogance so start mining those foundations today! Even as a single person!

Gotta find your audience and prove your views by putting out CONTENT instead of WORDS.

People will judge you, probably harshly, but if you are adamant about it then keep going or admit that you are wrong if you really are and improve it.

Or... you do not have ambitions of that sort and just want to work in peace with your visions for yourself and a few interested people. That also works!

Mako from Kill la Kill, as well as Matoi. Akise from Mirai Nikki, who is the second most liked character after Yuno. Leeron from Gurren Lagann. Souji from Ranpo Kitan. Sanae from Squid Girl. And all these characters are awesome.

I hate female healers! And I love Blue-haired, pink-haired, rainbow-haired tuff characters with kataknas, rocket launchers and shotguns.

Perks of being too lazy to write walking. Anyway do you know it's Walky and Dumping of Age? Some of its characters remind me of RMN users.

I am thinking about how sometimes there was a very good reason games from Japan were never ported here.

Sometimes... they're just not that great.

SNES had a lot of good JPN-only games, and thankfully the fans have translated about at least half of the good ones out there, but many more to be translated.

Also I got a new laptop! My god it so much better. I had to go full nerdrage though with this damn Windows 7 however. I got rm2k, and Nevewinter Nights to fully work on here. The only deal is if I want full screen on older RMN games then I would have to hook it up to the TV.

Also had to edit the Registry for the very first time to give full permissions to .msi files.

On the bright side..I can now play the newer RPG Makers without noticeable lag except maybe a few select games that have complex scripts.

Fan patches are not really bad, but I see your point though. Fan patches however have better quality control, and more accurate (most of the time). The problem is when a official company does it that they rush themselves to get it done within the deadline. This has been a problem since the 90s, but the quality has gotten better bit by bit, but still has some problematic translations.
