After a long hiatus, POM gets WiFi is finnaly back on the frontpage! I thought she was done for good, but apparently, RMN doesn't want to lose it's mascot :D

Yeah you edited it out but I caught it. You definitely know you're being a dickhole when a comment like this isn't specifically directed at you but you INSTANTLY take it as a personal assault. It's very telling about you and how you know you're acting and I'm not letting you edit it out and pretend otherwise. Get over yourself.

that's honestly not bad advice? push your range, get a feel for what you can do with your voice and play it back so you know how it sounds. I'm not an expert or anything, but that's generally considered decent practice -- for anything more refined than that, there are fairly large and supportive voice acting communities that might be able to offer specifics.

Your advice is good, screaming is not. Voice actors don't yell or scream - it sounds horrible in a microphone. They learn how to inflect and project in a more powerful way and the sound engineers adjust the volume levels afterward! There's a beginner tip for you.

Well, first you've gotta learn to be convincing with it. It's like teaching yourself to cry, you can only become more proficient as an artist if you take those steps.

Alright, I can practice, but the only thing I can record with would be my headset's microphone, which isn't the best quality. I suppose I don't exactly need quality for doing it casually, but still. I need to your on enunciating.
I've heard that you'll want a real microphone to even attempt it with good quality, and I don't know an easy way to get one short of ordering it online, which I've never done before.

it's tough when they keep banging on about the deservedness of its coverage and so on
it's tougher still when it's three years later, the dev has moved on to better things, and they're still waging a crusade against its existence
bad games can exist. bad games are valuable in their own way. with criticism, the questions of what there is to gain, who you're addressing it to, and what you mean to accomplish are fundamental. if you can't answer any of these to your satisfaction, then it might not be necessary to write a screed about a silly little joke game made for fun.
