WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

"Let me do my research in peace."
"Sure! What are the practical applications?"
"Well, I will see when I am finished."
Continues to research, write papers and discussing it with no real product coming out of it.
I know people like that and teachers at least give this knowledge to others.
Please don't.
Research for the sake of research is just as, if not more important than research for the sake of practical application. Research for the sake of practical application tends to be very specific and only applicable to very few cases, while research for the sake of research is broad and can even lead to more widely applicable things.
The fixation on short term "real life" effects of research harms scientific progress. Don't be a part of it.
Yeah, sorry, but I'm with Jeroen on this one. Those who 'play in their sandbox' are usually the ones who expand barriers - usually by accidentally stumbling apon something. Those who don't 'play in their sandbox' expand on those accidents and find the applications for them.
They're both equally important and the puffed-up ass shitting on either should be thankful that he has anything in his life that was produced by science at all. People tend to think that only those pushing in one direction are the ones doing the work but sometimes you need someone to go "Oh, hey, you know I found out the other day whilst messing around with x that if you put a log under that statue it'll roll easier in the direction you want~"

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

The politicians equip their ball gowns and begin to dance around the room. After a hard days work, they gather around the champagne and start discussing rumors. They decide that trumps wall color is a most important topic as the color will say much about themselves. Trump himself insists to have his face on it. The other politicians cry in protest but in the end they could not overcome trumps own tantrum as he throws his money around. You can also hear hillary spreading rumors and see her sending hate mail if you pay close enough attention.
Finally the curtain goes down, and we realize it all wasn't real except for the actors themselves, and hate on the people who supported those awful actors.
Story form for lockez analysis as I completely agree with him.

The truth of politics...volume 1. Was going for medieval mixed with politics today. I figured I'd attempt to put lockez view into story form because I agreed with him, and because I had nothing better to do at the time. I've also been reading the mistborn series and the main character had to infiltrate those types of balls, so that influenced my writing.
It turned out quite...interesting.

Inktober is over, so here's some art.

This John_Titor person sure is leaving interesting posts on like every gamepage on the site...
I got the steins gate reference. It's a shame he is just spamming everything instead of subtly using the world lime time traveling reference. He won't last long here by the looks of it.

Yeah, he seems... Interesting, he usually posts like a billion times and then leaves for like a week, he's certainly, well, energetic I guess?

Yeah... It doesn't seem harmful or anything. It's just... like I said, interesting.
Ah didn't realize this was like a weekly thing (thought he was new). Still, if he's just spamming the site and not posting any real content hes essentially the same as a bot, so I can't say I agree with leaving him to his own devices.

Sir Redd of Novus: He who made Prayer of the Faithless that one time, and that was pretty dang rad! :D

John has been told to dial the kookiness back a few notches, so no worries there. He's more than welcome to post here so long as it isn't more strange messages.
I still can't believe they tried bunting on two strikes when it was tied top of the 9th and one out with a runner on second. There's a suicide bunt and then a suicide bunt that puts the final game at risk!
But still congrats to the Cubs for ending a century long drought and putting Cleveland away, especially coming back 3-1 and making the final game a nailbiter! I don't watch much baseball but it was great to watch all the way to the end.
