Feeling incredibly burnt out after finishing my last game. I started working on something else a couple of months ago but I haven't touched it in about a month and I feel more and more like I've hit my creative ceiling.

take a break, play some games, relax, read the feedback from your current game and get inspiration naturally that way. If it doesn't come back, then don't force yourself because it's never fulfilling enough if you have to push through it.

I've watched a Let's Play of it. It's one of those reeeaaally grindy RPGs. It has got the whole evolution thing (much simpler though) and takes place from the past to the future, but if you're looking for a game similar to EVO: Search for Eden you're probably going to be disappointed.
Oh, sweet. :O I loved EVO, so I may give that a try even if it's not too much like EVO. (Or maybe I'll just play that game again. XD)
Coincidentally, despite EVO being way before my time I just kind of happened to find it. No one's ever talked about it before I found RMN, so it's always been this weird, small game I've always liked and assumed it wasn't on anyone's radar but mine.

I haven't seen or.played the new evo game, but if i recall correctly the original evo was very different from the snes evo: search for eden. So maybe they went back to the original formula?
