CloseWell, I had realism in mind, if you're going to build a robot yourself, there's a good chance it'll look something like that (without the eyes).
Edit : "the terrible unbalance" (Dudesoft and on Dudesoft's recommendation) is voluntary, probably totally failed, but in my idea to fit sumo.
Re-edit : In any case, I think the conclusion, as for me, will be : well, it's a good thing I enormously enjoyed drawing that controller, that robot and the sponsor because the feedback is not always very pleasant.

A humanoid female controlling and a toaster 'bot? No, I'm certain it's more humorous the way it is.
@Marrend: truth be told, the idea that the toaster was the combatant was the thing that hit me as funny, but you're probably right.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Gonna vote for the HARLEQUIN team. Not because it has stats or weapons (the TOST robot clearly has melee weapons of some type!), but because it clearly has a huge budget with all that heft, and TOST apparently cares more about other things than winning the battle, so I think it could easily bribe TOST to take a fall.
My vote: Harlequin team. From one rolling ball of doom to another. Plus, seeing Gear kick Chana's butt would be fun.

Welp,much to my disappointment chana wins. TOST R&D basically used the Ultimate Robot Battles as a tax write-off, so whatever. Onwards!

For the uninitiated, lucha libre is basically just professional wrestling in Mexico. Wrestlers don masks and perform spectacular aerial grappling. The design objective with my luchabot was to capture the strengths of a luchador in robotic form. Since grappling is a key element of wrestling, I felt like a robot that can pretty much envelop and control its opponent with an array of tentacles would exemplify the style.

LUCHA! Yup. That's my vote. Those tentacles are going to wrap up superblast's robot quick and then TAPOUT! AND THE CROWD GOES WILD!

Best Stats - SuperBlasters: The attack power could make more than a dent in Jude's weak armor, while also having maxed out defense. However, there is a problem...
Best Weapons - Jude: Does SuperBlast have any offensive weapons? It seems not, so Jude has little opposition when it comes to weaponry, particularly since he has a pretty fearsome arsenal himself.
Best Strategy - Jude: With all those arms and fearsome weapons, coupled with a fast and aggressive battlestyle, SuperBlast doesn't stand a chance.

I can understand a robot with no weapon, but no energy : wouldn't it then just be an immobile object? I wouldn't know how to vote for this, so :

If superBlast can manage to land some solid hits, the battle would be his. Jude's got some nifty speed going for him, so I wouldn't count on superBlast being consistent with his hits. Meanwhile, with the exception of defense, Jude's got a very well-balanced fighter. He's got weapons to counter-act superBlast's defenses, and can siphon energy from his opponent to wear him down.

So this match is basically a wrestling match, given the battle chips employed here. While superBlast's robot is stronger and far far more durable, I can't see it dealing with the shock kicks, quarium whips and (most importantly) energy stealers. I think Luchabot comes out victorious in the end.
